Depends what kind of interactions you have with other users.
If it's "wanna fuck" or just boring "hi, how are you" sent out to as many profiles as possible, I wouldn't show it either. (Not directed at you OP as I don't know you) just a generalization of correspondence from faceless profiles |

Happened to me recently, the person used Internet pics in return and when I challenged used my real name.. Maybe they know me, but you know what? I didn't give a shit because I've nothing to hide a won't be threatened..

just take a pic of the lower half of your face and keep it in your public pics then you can show people your face with without it being your profile picture  |

There's good ways of not sharing what we do in private without hiding a face, just avoid explicit verifications and action shots.
Would never pressure anyone on showing theirs as it's not my place to tell anyone what to do, just trying to get a point across that it's not a big deal when and if one decides to do so  |

Nothing illegal or immoral, but that doesn't mean people don't have very valid reasons to hide their identity on here.
Work, family opinions, ex spouse issues etc In many of these cases, public knowledge of you being on fab can be awkward at best. |

I choose who I interact with here on my terms, and have some level of control over who does or doesn't know who I am, and as long as I retain my own comfort level of anonymity, I know I won't have random folk stalking me and my friends on BookFace... or assuming that when I'm out in public, that the people I'm with must also be Fabbers (they may or may not be... But even if they are, it's not my place to confirm or deny someone else's truth), or have some idiot say something inappropriate in front of my family  |

I had exactly same thoughts before I've put mine up.
At the time of deciding - someone has recognized me and threatened to "expose" me and what not, so I took the control into my own hands, cleared my profile from all nudes, sex stories (provocative verifications) and the written profile itself.
After changing it all around - I rarely ever receive any crude messages as the standard crowd with a dick in their hands just don't bother messaging me as I make it clear that I'm not interested in meeting now and getting my brains fucked out by a random stranger. I've noticed my inbox became more respectful and engaging.
And if someone recognizes me down the street - so what? Unless they come and introduce themselves they're just another nameless faceless stranger to me...
Chance of a stalker? They lose all the power to threaten you in any way as they have nothing to brownmail you with.

I was called a fake and called a different person so I posted my face publicly.. then they said I wasn't discreet if I would show my face and couldn't be trusted.
If you're gonna live your life doing what people on here want you to do, you'll end up having to change your political opinions, your photos, your sexuality, and it still won't be enough.
So just do what you want instead. |

I understand where you're coming from from a purely selfish point of view... my life and my choice and everyone else be damned!!! But then I consider the people I care about who continue to value their own privacy and discretion, and may be recognised purely by association, and it gives me pause.
My LTP is very discreet. Those on Fab who have met him and actually know who he really is can be counted on one hand. But I've met far more people than that over the years lol, and as it is, if we are out in public and run into someone I've met, that's one more person who now knows who he is, without him ever having the chance to choose whether he wanted them to know or not. If my face pic was fully public... I might as well put his face pic up there too, which wouldn't be in any way fair or considerate. Same with friends and family... Every time a Fabber would see me with anyone, they'd wonder if that colleague, friend, sister, brother, parent, aunt or uncle is a swinger (and if they are, their own chances of being recognised increase, whether they want it or not). I have more people in my life that I need to think about and have consideration for than just me.
As for the stalker bit... Brownmail is the least of my concerns. There are far worse things an unhinged or obsessive person can do!  |

That's a pretty fair point. The 'vague recognition' that results in being blocked without really knowing where you know that face from... I dont think I've ever blocked anyone for that reason, but can understand why others might. |

Just tried it out, was talking to a girl on here who's unverified, we have been messaging for a couple of days, she wanted a face pic before she would go any further, I sent her a face pic and she blocked me straight away without any explanation, I think someone should start a thread called "is there more than one female type on here" apart from obnoxious!! |

...hello my friend...the amount of times a lady has asked me for a face pic to which l told them that one would be sent on the condition one was returned..fair is fair in my opinion and all that...to which they'd agree...l'd send one... nothing would come back and l'd also be blocked ...so l stopped sending face pics here...will now only send them on Kik..way l look at it ,why should l leave myself open to some faceless lady deciding that l'm " not her type " ??...l'm fully aware not all shoes fit but am open to correction here but l would say if things were reversed and ladies sent their face pic first they mightened get a returned photo either and also be blocked...like who's to say the " faceless lady " is a model either and the guy when he sees her picture might not be interested..but it's just the way here ..ladies rule the jungle here...they want the face pic...if you don't send it ..they don't chat ...and if you do ...and they don't like ...they don't chat and block ..just gotta keep rolling the dice ... |

I just think the level of ignorance from the women on here is astonishing, ok not meaning to tar all with the one brush here, I think a lot of the women here are what I call "A washed up plenty of fish bitch" it seems they have failed with that old line of "I'm a good girl" so now have decided to try the Fab and kink world but still pretending to be something that they are not! I just get annoyed sometimes with all this shit from women here saying that all the guys here are dickheads when really I think it's mostly the women that are the ones being the time wasters! Sorry to all here for going off on one but just a little frustrated today. |

... personally l think there are some absolutely brilliant amazing ladies on here..both in heart ..mind .. body.. personality and have shown me the highest respect and courtesy in chatting and meeting..top top ladies in so so many ways...and then there are the other end of the scale .. the timewasting string a longers..who promise to meet and don't..deny they ever said they would and then block you ..so to adjust the quote from Forrest Gump...."
