You can wank ofcourse, but eventually the draw of sexual contact with the opposite sex and if I'm to be correct I'll include the same sex becomes over powering and wanking becomes mundane after about 2 days, worst case scenario duration of periods..after that God help us all

The only time I've had regular sex was the periods when I had a girlfriend.

I've had four girlfriends, each relationship averaging about a year and a half. So that's 6 years out of my 21 years of being sexually active (handjobs, blowjobs etc. not included).

So going long periods without sex has been the norm for me.

No problems at all.

In fact I prefer it this way.

Don't get me wrong, I love it when it comes, but when you're not driven by getting sex or sex isn't high on your priorities, there's a weird sense of freedom to pursue the things that really satisfy your soul.

When I'm in a relationship... I want it all the time... Can't do without, and that has caused problems at times in the past whenever a partner's drive wasn't equal to mine

When I'm not in a relationship... My libido generally takes a back seat until the time and opportunity is right, and then I set it loose on whoever I'm feeling that little spark with.... Sometimes that will evolve into a regular thing... Sometimes it's nice just to smile and move on.

Sometimes a little enforced celibacy within a relationship can be a bit of fun too... But oooooooftttt.... It's not easy when you've someone in your life you want to pounce on every time you look at him!
