None at the moment, looking at a few options considering the aul electric car too but the hidden emmisions surrounding the manufacture of such a car are kind of scary, the energy used to charge it probably comes from fossil fuel, the energy input required is higher than that of a standard combustion engine car to produce and the production of batteries is destroying ecosystems in places such as Chile.

I'm all for more environmentally friendly products but I don't belive the trade off is worth it at the moment

335d would be a lot more expensive. But a more reliable engine as the timing chain problems don’t affect the 335d whereas there are issues with the facelift 330d engines

That’s a rocket on the road i am limited with money so that’s way too expensive at the moment for me, but some 09 or 10, 330 would be nice for me even petrol is not bad at all, but yeah, it’s alcoholic my 316i is around 11l at 100km in city, so 330i is double more i guess

Ireland is too small to be mentioning those cars m4 is nice but I preferred the e46, last of the ‘analogue’ cars and one that you could drive hard and it would still forgive you

Usually get 40-50bhp remap safely done by most places... Yea can change intercooler anytime yea want even without a remap but if yea wanna do a proper job den do a remap, upgrade front mount, injectors, hard pipe nd decat nd get a hybrid turbo lol

I've done that with older Fiats but hoping to change the Ceed next year for a Toyota CHR Hybrid. I love the angular look of it

Or an updated Ceed, as it's doing me proud at the moment but worries about what the bankers in Dail will do about diesel cars making me twitchy.

hmmm now you mention diesel iv had diesel cars for years and only recently got a Volvo just to sell on, 2ltr petrol so was only sticking a tenner in to get me home, funnily enough I was very pleasantly suprised at the fuel consumption of the big shaggin wagon, very easy on fuel, maybe after all these years driving diesels not going near petrol cars has just upped the price or something but I'm almost 100% it was better fuel consumption than my usual 1.9tdis, shouldn't hesitate now on buying a petrol car only for the mileage a diesel can cover

Leaded petrol was a very bad thing. Enter unleaded petrol which was good then it was bad. Diesel was always bad and dirty then it became good now it’s bad again. Enter electric. We’re gonna save the planet with our electric cars. But hang on.... all those gazillions of electric cars are gonna need electricity from..... power stations the majority of which are just as bad as petrol. But wait.... we have renewables which will tick the box . Bollocks..... a few windmills and solar panels won’t make any impact for the shed load of electric needed. So I’m sticking to my V8s and V12s until somebody comes up with fusion power . All this talk of electric cars is a load of tosh . How do the 1 million planes in the sky at any moment of the day fly electric????????? And they burn up far more kerosene than cars toodling about burning up all that extra fuel going 10 mph slowing down and accelerating over the millions of stupid feckin speed bumps !!!!!

The whole electric car thing.......

Quite tempted, but Jesus they are dear.

Add in the fact that either you are leasing the battery separately or face buying a new one (£5,000 odd) after 4-5 years, and the whole of life costs start to look shite compared to a petrol/diesel.

What will happen when all the lovely people of Ireland are driving full electric cars and another storm batters us and we are without electricity for days/weeks? Storms seam to becoming more frequent and the government are trying to push us towards electric cars?

"Cant make it to work today, electricity is gone and the cars flat"
