Just seen the clip on their Facebook page there now and certainly went down well, the setting so helps the music and mood. Looked a great gig |

I love Lizzy and I love Metallica but I've never been overly fussed on their version of Whiskey. Lacks Phil's sense of fun and playfulness. However, it was great to hear it live at such a prominent Irish gig.
Metallica's version of Turn the Page is, IMHO, a cover version that actually improves on the original and I love the Bob Seeger original. |

Was never a big fan of their version of Whiskey, but have to say they nailed it at Slane.
Some of the YouTube comments say it's the best ever live performance of it.
They were brilliant through the whole gig but the second half was the business.
Did anyone notice that while playing Whiskey in the Jar, Rob was playing a green bass, James was playing a white guitar and Kirk was playing a sunburst(orange) guitar |

"Creeping death was amazing live too.actually from frantic onwards was excellent, first half was a bit stop start. "
Agreed. Wasn't a big fan of the newer stuff.
Didn't and never have liked their Whiskey, though I did have a laugh at the murdering of Wild Rover. Fair play to Robert & Kirk for that but, as someone said, was a waste of a song. Still, they played well and for a long time. They were the single redeeming factor about the whole event. |

I was an old school Metallica fan , from ride the lightining , kill em all Metallica , then they went down hill , but their gig in Lisbon when they played 2 Portuguese bands was incredible .
Welcome back the real Metallica |
