has pubic hair gone the way of the dodo bird?

I'm just wondering if the fabled pubic bush is no longer desirable in either women or men.

I understand the whole hygiene argument but surely if you are hygienic you are hygienic with or without pubic hair its called washing.

I'm not against the baldy by any means I love it in fact. I just wonder if the day of the pubie has passed us by.

Thoughts?...

A nicely trimmed and shaped one is very attractive, but there's just something about shaved... feels better, etc etc.. and as for fellas.... the big pubic bush died out in 1963..... lol

The pubic fro is defo not a good look in guys... Although the fully shaved look isn't easy to pull off if you play team sports... Its guaranteed to get you some very suspicious looks from the other guys.... Unless you play for an all gay team.

I think trimmed is the best option for guys... Why not the same for girls? There's a lot

of evangelism when it comes to ladies... Not saying you are in anyway an evangelist for the baldies I just think its more of an obligation to shave if you is a lady and I don't want the lads to follow suit in the not too distant future I don't want ingrown hairs on my balls

I prefer men who are trimmed but not fully shaven.

Naked skin is much nicer to lick so I can understand that a lot of guys prefer fully shaved women. But it's a lot of work to keep it like that!! Unless you get it all lasered.

I found an interesting article here about the history of pubic shaving.

Well trimmed for me, gone complete baldy a few times, looks rediculous as the rest of me is hairy. Also the bloody itch drives me mad when it's growing back, used that much talc that when I sat down a cloud of it puffed up lol. Also the amount of public scratching is enough to get you lifted

Can you please explain to me in all seriousness why are pubic hairs unhygienic??

Or are you telling me you go with people who dont know the meaning of personal hygiene?

Agreed, the hygiene thing is a total myth, wash before a meet, it aint rocket science! Shaved is nice but hard to keep smooth and risk of skin infections in some people. Nothing wrong with trimmed.
