What would the army do open fire on the streets ? That would higher the risk to civilians getting hit in crossfire.
It's very hard to police against a lone gunman you'd have to have armed guards literally on every road street and corner waiting around. |

To be honest i didn’t see so many violence between young people in not even one country in europe, maybe only uk...where is the problem? Second thing Ireland need proper armed police, 9mm in head without any questions, and it won’t happend again... |

Yeah, more guns, that'll help - works great in the States. NOT. |

Theres to much money at stake so your never going to stop it totally and arming every guard in the country wont solve it either unless they are standing beside every dealers house.
Proper sentences for dealers, criminals and the gunmen they do catch and not handy sentences that these lads take for a laugh in mountjoy. |

To be honest the authorities do nothing because they want the gangsters to eradicate themselves... And they know who they are, and if there is civilians evolved, so there is no hole where to hide... They are not stupid, they are playing the "smart" and letting them kill themselves alone... The problem is that is is going for too long... Let's say since 2011 or 2012... It's going for a bit too long for nothing being done to stop it... |

The garda no who it is and can't do feck all until late they catch them with the weapon or in the act. The person giving the orders is along way from been caught up in it . As time on he will move on. Someone else fills the void and so it begins again. Same shit over and over again if not in coolock some other housing area |

It is a waste of time. Grab the person who told them to hold them, or the person who turns up, takes them and goes murder someone with them?
I wouldnt be surprised if they tell the cops which cache they can take, cause it always plays well in the press, and the police can go back to sitting on their arses and checking peoples road tax. |

Not sure I agree that its ever more guns that reduce crime. More likely their criminal prosecution system and jails are a more effective deterant. |

Let em keep killing each other, I’ll keep selling them pension!!!
Only answer is longer sentences for anything anyway gang related, and yes that means bigger and more prisons. Oh wait they tried to build one and nobody wanted it in their backyard! |

Agree with u, everything starts from prosecution system, have to be much better...But this is country with only 4 million people, i don’t think it would be big problem to stop that by gardai if they really want that..police like police they always know much more and they have some inside info.. |

Agree with you.
I think it is encouraging more violence by allowing gun possession. |

"Why bother going after the gangster when the cops can sit around doing speed traps in bullshit spots and it's way easier for them to pick up ppl for minor drug offences "
Well I said the same to a cop, asked them why they didnt arrest a known drug dealer, why they dont pass by their house in a visible way, even stand outside it all day long.
The reply I got was they didnt want to get stabbed and that if I was so brave to do it myself.
When I told them that if they didnt want to risk their lives keeping people safe then they shouldnt have become a cop, and I would have no problem doing it as I have armed forces training where I risked more than being stabbed.. they told me to fuck off and they would make it their business to sort me out. |

They’ve no evidence against any of them even though the dogs on the street know what they get up to, also, just because the coppers don’t seem to be doing nothing, a lot of the time they’re collecting and building evidence while allowing the gangster to think he’s invincible |

Look that Iranian guy that was shot .was knows to gardai and a suspect in a number of shootings .he was also out at balbriggan at the shooting dice mixing with the garda ...how come the authorities let him and others like him stay in the country ..god know the scumbags we are taking into the country .and we have enough of our own .....we are the dumping ground for the scum of Europe .and the good goers here .can't get enough of them |

yeah the iranian guy was connected with multiple murders, has distinctive tattoos that were mentioned to the cops on multiple occasions and linked to recent killings.
While someone fitting his discription was murdering people, they were doing raids on cahces and putting people who never hurt anyone and were bullied into holding drugs/guns in jail, the lowest rung among the gangs and he was allowed walk around free.
The criminal assets were set up to catch people were linking them to crime was hard but their money didnt match their job title, however thats a farce, its used to go after tax dodgers while people who are known drug dealers get cleared for massive loans/pensions/investments through a system designed to catch them, but only catches me and you normal people who havent paid the property tax etc. |
