Add finishers
3 exercises
1 strength
1 core
1 conditioning
35/15 on off X 6 rounds

Bike 20/15/10/5 Calories as your conditioning and do 2 exercises between for reps |

Weights and swimming if possible. With swimming your using your whole body to exercise plus it’s good cardio. If you’ve not easy access to a pool then weight training finished by 3 mile run will do the job |

Yeah would love to be swimming more, pools with gyms are a rare feature in Dundalk. Hardly want to be jumping into the Irish Sea after a work out either |

I'm a bit over weight from being inactive too, decided I would walk to lose the weight as I don't want to lose any muscle.
So when I get home, I put on my jacket and head out the door and walk 6-7 miles. I walk at a comfortable pace, I dont shake my hips or try walk as fast as i can, I just walk normal to brisk but dont stop for 7 miles.
In a month I have lost over 1% of fat and no muscle really. Its about exactly how much I want to lose a month but may not be quick enough for other people. |

All the above but boxercise is good mixed with jogging to the other end of the gym ( if space permits), do some press ups and sit ups, star jumps , burpees then jog back to the bag. GLF then repeat |

I agree, but if someone is 20% and wants to hit 15 in a month or two then it wont be quick enough for them. For me its perfect, and I was actually surprised how well a 2 hour walk a day adds up. Think it was 250 miles in a month. |

I skip every training session and box twice a week. I weight train 3 days a week following a 3 day split program with bench, deadlift and squat as the main lifts.
I get stuck in a routine sometimes but I know what works well for me and my body.
Training is important but equally is diet. |

Yea exactly as above
If it weight loss or lean out it needs to be calorie deficit (energy balance)
Not necessarily what kind of exercise what you do... So yea remember there is no one advice that is right
Just what works for you |

Workouts without balanced diet wouldnt work |

"How much swimming do you guys do? I've started back and doing 14 lengths so far. Not sure what number to aim for, so I'm just going to build it up."
14 lengths isn't great tbh, what stroke are you doing?
You need to be doing in the region of 1k front crawl in say 30mins to start for decent cardio return.
A saunter up and down the pool doing the brest stroke is really just a super size bath |

I should say btw keep it going, focus on your breathing, once you get that the rest is easy |

Whatever the instructor tells us to do, always a bit different so keeps it interesting. That’s 3 times a week, always get to at least 2 and throw in a couple of HIIT classes a week when I can. Then ruin it all with beer during the weekends

I went from 12% bodyfat to just under 8% in a couple of months and didnt lose any strength (actually upped a couple of my lifts).
Im not as big as a lot of guys on here so obviously this is just what I did for my own body type:
Made sure my calories were 500 under what I needed each day (that was calculated based on my size and needs, obviously weekends fudged it a bit). Didn't really matter what kind of food I ate but if you are aiming for enough of all the stuff you need without any extra then you will probably eat less crap because it doesnt fit in the budget. Still had a beer whenever I felt like it tho.
Made sure I worked out at least 4 (usually 5 or 6) sessions a week for at least 30-40min but went to 60-90min depending on what I was training.
Workouts were anything from pull-ups etc at home to squats and deads in the gym to running or swimming.
I dont think the details of which exercise etc are all that important for aesthetics in the short term (obviously we all want more muscle, but thats a long term thing). People talk about this food vs that food but I think thats overrated once you have a balanced diet and the right caloric intake.
Consistency and intensity are key.

1. Reproduce numerous times
2. Run after tiny dictators of your own making
3. Make time to ingest caffeine (reheating many, many times)
4. Forget about food until approx 8pm
5. Eat again when they're 20(ish) |
