Paying for hotels

So....just seeking opinions....I've been meeting a lady for the last few months, from another site, and we meet once a month. I book and pay for hotel. We are both in similar jobs, she allows me to pay every time, and never offers. Honestly, i dont mind as she is a sexbomb, but just wondering what people think in general? |

It doesnt matter how much of a sexbomb she is...she should at the very least offer to pay her share
Why not ask her to sort out the next meet. Take it turn about?

Maybe a "I know I'm hot so pay up"
Hard to change it now without sounding like you're peeved, but sure, try it and if it goes to pot then on to the next one. If of course you're willing to have it end over it. |

You wouldn’t be asking for people’s opinions on here OP if you weren’t feeling like you’re being taken for granted at some level.
Just mention it casually next time, don’t make a big deal of it and see what happens. |

If we invite we pay. But if i meet alone then if they pay i buy food and pay for a meal. If things are a little tight im honest about it and then its up to the person. But everyone is on here for fun so shouldnt be down to one person to pay |

First couple of times I would pay then in an ideal world take turns. If i was really really into someone I wouldn't mind paying all the time saying that haha ! |

Thinking back, anytime I've ever had a hotel meet, I've been the one who has been allowed to choose the hotel, if not necessarily book it. I actually don't mind doing the booking though... According to booking.com I'm a genius! It's probably the only time I'll ever be called that  "

I don't like going to hotels full stop, I can think of much better things i could be doing with my money. I can't justify spending money on hotels all the time. |

That's precisely the reason why I dont do hotel meets of any kind.
It's always more than likely to be a one off as a perspective of any one party paying for it (even if it's a split) just seems like a waste to me.
As currently being a part of a couple - our view is just the same. We are looking for regular people to be friends with. And one off hotel thing is just not appealing. Hotel play could serve as a brilliant treat to break up a routine but nothing less or more. |

had a meet tell me she would pay half,never asked her to as I usually pay for first meet anyway,long story short not only did she not contribute she also got me a €200 fine for persistently smoking in the room (I'm a non smoker and asked her not to smoke). She said she'd pay the fine but I think we all know how that went. needless to say I declined further meets. |

I got stung badly once. Hotel booked for an entire weekend in Galway and the guy was a no-show. Not only did I get stuck with the full hotel bill, but had travelled hours to get there... Lesson hard learned! |

Had the same 3 days in Donegal for a friends( she is not a fabber) bday , she asked for a mmf , set everything up , that morning the guy aunt died ( he is in fabs ) , then she started giving excuses only should up for 2 hours during the 3 days , always with promises oh i get away this afternoon , then evening , then tomorrow morning from breakfast and all day , then after lunch .
So there I was stuck on my own in fecking Inishowen |

Had quite a few tent meets over the years. You'd be surprised how many enjoy a camping weekend or overnight stay by the beach or in the hills. |

I never really do hotel meets cos I can't afford it. I think that if you're both in a similar position to pay (ie. Income levels) then half and half is absolutely fair. If there's a big difference in income, I think that should be taken into account. And also, some men really like to pay. Everyone's different I guess. |

I think it depends on the use of the room.
If you are using the room just for the meet, 50-50 is reasonable.
I always use the hotel room wholly for my own usage and invite my meets over thus I don't ask for any contribution. |

Same here. If we were staying in the room we would think it's unfair to ask for a contribution.
But yes, if it's just used for the purposes of the meet then 50/50 is reasonable. |

Maybe look up a top hotel and put it to her that it's, let's say, 300 a night or whatever. Ask her would she like to try it if ye were to split it.

Well I never have any problems with paying for hotels. But my last two meets from Fab cancelled as soon as I checked in to the hotel with feeble excuses. As a single Mammy I don't get much time off. So I was left with the bill and a waste of baby sitting favours. |

Good idea.....could be as noisy as you wanted and no one complains!
When I had a regular meet, we took it turn about to pay for the hotels. Cost a fekin fortune but soo worth it

Happened to me a few times in my first year on Fab. Even had a no show after flying to Manchester for a weekend meet, bought two tickets for Les Miserable too (oh the naivety of trust I once had on fab). It's these experiences that made me just look at those who could accommodate. I've had the odd hotel meet since but its been arranged while I'm travelling and have needed accommodation, so if they don't show I feel less put out. |

Shocking that to be honest. It would be bad enough being stood up for a coffee but after organising babysitters and hotel is unforgivable!!! |
