I prefer "Hi" to "I was reading your profile and seen... and what about...".
Creeps me out like they are
I never seen it on here but I always click off profiles on dating sites that have "Say more than Hi", "Hi messages will be deleted" types of things written on them.
Sometimes I will message them "Hi" just to see if I can be the exception to the rule. |

I do the same. I might write more than hi but if I wrote what many people demand in their profile as my opening message I’d be writing for most of the day lol. So you write a long and detailed message and then it doesn’t get read or gets read and deleted straight away. Can’t feckin win |

One liner in sure are very annoying but I can't abide profiles that compare to reading the newspaper. Is anyone that important that they feel the need to ramble on for ages. If I see such long profiles I am automatically not interested. Sorry that's my little rant for today  |

Not everyone has been gifted with the art of conversation, especially in writing and a lot of us here on Fab, are not native English speakers.
For me, it isn't the first one-line message, but what comes after that, if we start bouncing messages back and forward.
To be honest, a physicaly attractive person but with a bland personality is far more annoying, than one-liners from someone who might show a nice and interesting personality, once the conversation starts flowing. 
But I understand where you are coming from, from a woman's profile perspective, as you probably get inundated with the same type of message numerous times a day, once you post a new pic or a new topic on the forum, or simply because you appear on line.

Not everyone has been gifted with the art of conversation, especially in writing and a lot of us here on Fab, are not native English speakers.
For me, it isn't the first one-line message, but what comes after that, if we start bouncing messages back and forward.

I agree that single guys aren't the only ones guilty. I've had to block couples in the past because the male half was behaving in exactly the same creepy pestering way as many single guys do. Sending cock pics, repeatedly asking for my kik or phone number, sending lewd messages and even after I told them I wasn't interested in wank chat, they just kept sending me messages anyway telling me what they were fantasising about doing to me regardless. And no, these weren't single guys posing as couples, these were well verified and well known couples. I've had one or two females contact me through solo profiles asking me why I blocked them and saying that they thought we got along.... And what do you say? Yep, you're lovely and I've lots of time for you, but your hubby is a creep and a pest and doesn't know how to take no for an answer?  |

Or maybe some single guys are just tired to put effort on messages just to be ignored anyway .
Lately a few new couples and women from wexford joined , so i sent a few messages ( not copy pasted ) , cause not many in wexford except men but the contents was like a welcome something on this lines , tittle : welcome to fabs
Text insert their user name ) , hope you have a great time here and our paths cross ( of course i didn't send exact same to all ), add a few things more according to their profile
Happy fabbing .
Now i made sure i checked the profile , they were looking for men , I wasnt out of age range.
Next thing message read and deleted , so I got to a point , why bother just feck it send a Hi , if no answer at least didn't waste time writing a personalised message
