I’m signed up for causeway sportive but haven’t been on my bike in months due to an injury so looks like I’ll be missing it this year.

Since this is a biking tread,id like to share my views......recently i have seen an increase in mad cyclists on the road taken all kinds of risk and putting members of the public in great danger with the speed they pass through villages and towns....fast silent and small, this is just one type of madness they do.....I think they should have something like a number plate etc so that they can be reported when they are acting the idiots......would yee agree or disagree

Car do the same believe me. I disagree.i think a licence plate is a bit far fetched. But what I do think should be part of the structure of a bike is the lights and indicators. I mean why would I go on the left if i need the be in the second lane over to reach my destination..

There is a fair point - a cyclist should be as liable to punishment for breaking lights Etc as a car. And loosing momentum by having to stop isn’t a justification to break road traffic laws. Agreed on the lights etc

Good idea.....lots of moterists think the road is just for them but they can be reported and procussed....but cyclists have free rain, its only a matter of time before a child or adult is kill by a sppeding bike through our towns......do the maths, lets drop 10stone man onto someone, from 5 feet....lets go 10 now do 20......like everything in life its just a few that spoil it.....by the way a mother was killed by a cyclist in the uk not too long ago...and i think that was on a footpath

I am trying to imagine a push bike witna number plate here lol. I do see the sense in it of course but it's just funny to picture a racer with all these on it... Made me giggle a little. Not to the pint of it just imagining the structure is all.

It’s like everything in life it just takes one or two fools to cause a problem, as a club rider I am always in my club gear. If you read the club name on the jersey and shorts and report them to their club with a photo of them breaking the law, the club will not want a bad name and will have a word with them and if they are reported more than once the club will ask them to leave the club.

I have a license and insurance and if I’m stopped for breaking the law when on my bike, I have to show ID and my license. I can get a fine and it’s reported to CI and my club. If I’m fined 3 times in one year I will have my license canceled.

But I keep getting past the point everyone else gets off the bike to push it....

Littlewren join your local cycling club or check with your local cycle shop for lessons ... meetup groups are also goo for meeting fellow cycling enthusiasts but not the type that want to cycle 100km in lycra
