I’ve been invited to meet a guy in his room there, anyone what security is like do you need a key card to access the lifts or residential area?

surely the guy would come down to reception to meet you & bring you up to his room ... these days most hotels seem to have key card security to the lifts...help stop robbers getting up to the rooms
