Anyone watching it?
Ian Wright's documentary on the history of racism in football.
Absolutely horrendous what black players were forced to put up with in the 70's, 80's and even 90's.
I was aware of the racism in the crowd but never knew the extent of how the clubs themselves allowed it and it was accepted.
Really gives me a new sense of respect for those who persevered through it and rose above it to became footballing legends. |
