There is a perception on here that you need to stand out from the crowd and be exceptional. If you read any thread about getting meets you will see it.

There's a lot of truth in what you've just said. The exceptional is found out after meeting, rarely if ever before. Sometimes one can loose all sense of true judgement if one thinks this before and the morning after sometimes tells a different story. Then again gut feeling is often right and should be listened too. |

People lie to get around age filters, presumably they imagine you'll be so bowled over when you meet them that you can overlook the fact they appear 10 years older than they claimed to be.
We just add a few years on now to anyone saying they are 39 or older. |

I don't see the point in lying about your age, I'm 42yrs and I have no issue with my age, if someone thought I was told old for them, then that's their preference, it's not a big deal....
Its not like I can swap into a 32yr old body for a meet lol |

I was wondering why people lie about their age. Video chat or meeting face to face can easily verify that person is older than profile says.
I'm 43 and wouldn't be younger anymore. We all wish lol
One day I may look so fresh and much younger than I am, and another day I may look older, especially after hard day at work.
Be honest and be yourself

It really bugs me as the person is only raising expectations and reducing trust. Not on here but a few months ago I went on a date with this girl..now beforehand she was asking what I looked for in a woman and I said the usual..curves etc. She responded that she had curves in all the right places. Well when she met, curves were an understatement being honest from the start would have made things a lot easier |

Why is one lie deemed worse than another. The very fact that one lies about anything means they can be lie to you again and again.
I do find it interesting why some get so caught up with a particular lie but willing to ignore countless others. No one is exempt from lying either so why make such an issue and point the finger.
Genuinely don't understand this idea, it's as if they are above others imo. |

It's funny when there's a age difference or preferences thread you get to read the 'age-is-only-a-number' rubbish. When it comes down to fab age the exact number of years is suddenly crucial and a major decision criteria to meet or not.
I couldn't be arsed if someone is 10 years older than stated. Crucial bit for me is to engage and click with my naughty mind. |

So I'll be 40 in 3 months. I'm just gonna change my age to 30 and get abs sprayed on for parties . It has only just hit me how many people assume one is fit nothing after 40. All those wasted years |

The only problem about telling lies is that then you have to remember all the lies , so the best option is be open about who you are and so on , if people like it great , if they don't , well they don't |

A lot of the time as soon as I mention doing that on kik to verify, even if it's just one way, the suggestion is met with radio silence... It's a tight rope... Don't think I'd every be comfortable sending a face pic before meeting... Hence the difficulty in meeting... |

Research says they will be happier with someone closer to their height though. I have been with taller women than me. I'm talking 6 foot and more. They told me that shorter guys have a lot of confidence issues when presented with a taller woman, so in general they search for someone taller.
But why a 5'0 girl wants a 6'2 guy, It's just cause of media pressure. |
