I'd be interested in hearing about any wild camping spots in the Midlands , especially if there's a bit of fishing nearby

Dublin Wicklow

Hidden valley in Rathdrum Co. Wicklow is a great spot. Close enough to the wicklow mountains for walks / hikes, shops pubs etc within walking distance too.

I know its not camping but the harbour mill apartments in Westport at the quay are fantastic value for money and a great base for the area. Lovely part of the country.

Can't fault it at all. I think we got ours on a Tesco voucher

Great little pizza place/bar on site too. Staff are very helpful.

The place mentioned above in Carlow is Rancho Riellys. Good spot too but Westport has much more to offer

A lot of things have changed in Westport in the past few years we have become very metropolitan we have wine bars up market tea rooms specialised sweet/ice cream shops micro breweries which you can do tours of they distilleries showing how they make their craft beers Tapas bars and a brand new Gin bar that make a great Whisky Soar made with Jameson lots of nice things to enjoy
