"We might need to organise a fab area if there are a good few going. "
I tried to meet a vanilla friend there once, it was near impossible. Mobile reception turns to crap when you're in a large crowd so keeping tabs of location of everyone is tough without phone numbers. One thing is that there's always a Wok n Roll at Slane so we can meet there and everyone wears a distinct item of clothing? Easiest is to meet before the concert though so you know who you're looking for.

Looking at the forecast we'll be lucky if it's only damp."
Hopefully its a down pour and the electrics short circuit! Electrocuting both Hetfield and Ulrich

Ah it's more of a nostalgia thing for me. Me mate asked me to go so I said yeah.
Loved 'em back in the day but I could go the rest of my life without seeing them live again.
I had visions of sitting on the grass with the sun shining, a few Heinekens and watching one of the bands that I grew up on.
So much for that |

Hope the rain that hit here last night stays away from Slane ..it just fucking hammered down .pure deluge ...it's a fucker when concert dates are announced and you think " jeez ,Slane in June ..should be brilliant weather " ..anyway l won't be there but l hope everyone has a safe and fun filled time up there...l saw Queen and the Stones up there...but the one thing that breaks my heart is l don't think I'll ever see the ONE band l so wished to see there...(l even wrote to Lord Henry himself asking to bring them there ,and yes he did reply)....the greatest of them all.....AC/DC. |

Bringing the old denim jacket with tons of patches for the craic of it. If any couples or single ladies see a guy with a beard, denim jacket heavily patched, say hello and tell me its FAB.
Safe travels to all. |

"Was an amazing show & the crowd were fantastic"
Glad you weren't knocked over by some of the d*unk gobshites
I lost half of four pints to two of them.
Probably saved me from it though
Yeah, Metallica were excellent. Could have done without as much new material at the start to get the crowd going but it worked in the second half |

We were lucky enough with traffic both ways. Coming from Dublin we were aiming for the green route, turned off at exit 10 but ended up at car park beside red route and was only a ten minute walk in. Was a great day and the fab social was good Craic. Never heard some of those things playing "I have never" before! Weather d great until 4.30 or so so no more lying on the hill |
