United dont want liverpool winning the league, that's a certainty. This is liverpool's chance though. They were in a position once, 7 points ahead a few months back. They have to win it this season. |

Because they arent fans imo.
I care more about my own team than their rivals and couldnt give a shite how the rivals get on.
If you had to live in Manchester after losing a derby match you wouldnt be hoping to lose. |

It's an interesting one.
Liverpool fans shouting for United and United fans shouting for City
David DeGea, if you're ever gonna have another world class performance, please make it be tonight.
Hopefully United will be desperate to make up for that shambles at the weekend and City might think they have a handy one tonight and don't turn up.
Come on United!!!!!
Never thought I'd ever utter those words |

Any self respecting club fan would never want to see their team beaten. If Liverpool win their first title in almost 30 years then it'll not be down to the result tonight. I'm not a fan of them but they would be worthy champions after only losing one match in the league all season. United need to finish top 3 to absolutely secure CL football next season. If either spurs or liverpool win the CL this season and either Bumnal or Chelsea win the uefa cup then 4th place drops out of the CL next year.... united will probably lose tonight but i'll still cheer for the win!! Anyway...liverpool still need to win another dozen or so titles to be hailed as the greatest team of the premier league era!! |

It's not like you have to pray for that to happen, just turn up.
We all know United would love to win, we all know that you 100% wont, so pretending that losing to city is an outcome you are okay with, is fooling no one. You're just afraid to say you want to win, cause you'll look a fool when you dont. |

There's max 5 champions league places.
Will only be an issue if spurs win CL and finish outside top AND Gooners or Chelski win and finish outside top 4.
Liverpool and City already have secured CL places. |

Either way there will be one record broke this season by one of the two clubs:
Most points accumulated to not win the league.
United holds the current record of 89 points when they lost out on goal difference to City in 11/12.
Just shows how good both teams have been. To think Liverpool could potentially finish on 97 points and still not be champions is crazy. |

"Its been a great league this year, run in reminds me of United and newcastle of years ago, "I'd love it if we beat them here""
Yeah the run in has been one of the best.
Over the last 10 games City have won 10, Liverpool have won 8 and drawn 2.
Any other season and either one could have had it sown up in March.
Great performances by both teams and which ever finishes up on top fully deserve it. |

The funny thing is I don't get emotionally invested in it anymore.
Over the years I'd be up in a heap for every game and a run in like this probably would have caused damage to my heart but now I'm just enjoying the ride win or lose. |

since the establishment of the football league ?? neither team where in the league when it was established and utd wheren't even called utd when they did join. so lets not pretend that utd where liverpools biggest rivals from the beginning of the league that te honour goes to everton. Now the two cities of livrpool and manchester ( which utd isn't in by the way ) had a rivalry over industry and the bye passing of the liverpool docks by the manchester shipping canal. |

Suarez the best player in the league and carried that team. Coutinho was sold and the squad benefited. Unlike 5 years ago if salah or mane are sold with Klopp at the helm the money will be used wisely!

I think Liverpool have and are playing some incredibly great football this year as a team. Last year they lost a bit of belief with Salah’s injury but this year they have proved they have an amazing midfield and any amount of goal scorers to step up. If there’s a football god they’ll bring home some silver this year. |

They were 7 points ahead and could have gone 10 ahead had they beat City in that game.
Regardless, 88 points with 3 games to go is phenomenal and would be enough to win the league most seasons.
But every season has to be taken individually and this season City are just awesome. No sign of cracking under pressure and if they go on to win it, they fully deserve it.
To win the league over a team who performed as well as Liverpool have this season is a huge achievement. No team has ever finished second after accumulating over 89 points so kudos to City if they win it.
Oh and United are a bunch of useless c**ts. Can't bloody depend on them for anything |
