I have found im.one word in txt . Not like that in person . I have found sum on here full of the joys well able to chat on line cant string 2 sentences together. Each to there own  |

One word messages or replies are fine.
They show you one of two things: the sender just isn't interested or he/she is quite boring.
Either way it lets you know early on to not waste anymore of your time.
Surely a positive, no? |

To be fair I get bored easily from text conversations. Too many back and forth loses it's appeal compared to a face to face. It's easy to lose the flow.
Sure isn't body language our main form of communication after all? |

It's nothing to do with being boring or charm, its to do with asking closed questions.
"Are you ok?".. "Yes".
The question allows a one word answer, rewording the question makes a one word answer more difficult for the person.
"What did you get up to today?", Its an open question.
Its possible for people to force a one word answer to some open questions, if they do this then they just dont want to talk to you. |
