So ladies ... Dad bod or ripped bod ?

In all honesty I tend to prefer a natural dad bod 
The kind that gets a little leaner and lightly muscled in summer from working in the garden and doing DIY projects outdoors, and then gets soft and cuddly again in winter when the weather keeps them indoors more. Best of both worlds  |

Over the years our men's bodies change. I've been toned, ripped, toned, flabby, toned again, and dad bod comes with kids naturally. When I look at myself in the mirror, I can see where having an active life has stood to me over the years, and with this good weather a bit of stone wall building will tone me up.. And I've to chop down a few trees as well. As far as bodies and appearances go.. Its the personality that counts. |

I've a dad bod for sure but would much prefer to have a ripped one. Just look at the hot pics and you'll see that a ripped tattooed body is by far the preference. The time and effort though..I couldn't imagine dedicating myself to it. Fair play to the lads who do. |

I myself fluctuate between the 2 depending on time of year/ training regime!
Would never consider myself "shredded" but lean at times and dad bod like at others.
Not trying to say anyone here is self conscious, but it could have a part to play in some peoples minds when not liking the idea of being with someone incredible shape!
Think the main thing is women like a mans man... someone they feel secure & safe with, and obvs a bit of strength is always a plus... body would come into after those i feel in my opinion anyway. |

I like my men in shape...don't have to be ripped but someone who puts an effort into their body is attractive to me. Plus being around someone dieting is no craic lol. Rugby body is ideal each to their own tho! |

Once your happy in your own skin and relaxed that's what makes a person attractive to me

Then you would be wrong. Wrong to assume you know what women want. I don't lie (shock horror lol), so when I said I prefer dad bods, I meant it  . My ex had a 6 pack. Rock solid and was the most uncomfortable body I've ever hugged upto. I like abit of squidge! Not obese though. That's different. |

I may be biased but as the proud owner of a Dad bod I would be hoping the ladies support that lived in look of the Dad bod... although I do wash, exercise & iron the birthday suit on a regular basis. |

Most people will enjoy the fantasy of hard, toned bodies, hence the preponderance of these ttypes in ads.. However when it comes to real life, I think a lot of people will go for 'normal' type bodies because they don't want to feel threatened or inadequate.. |

A trophy wife without the ideal shaped body wouldn't be a trophy wife, thank goodness there's plastic surgery that helps them to look all the same.
Anyhow I can't see any sources quoted to back up those facts, however I agree on here peeps say a lot to get to the honey pot.
Finally I don't find a severe six pack nor a beer belly attractive, so somewhere in between. |

You hardly need stats to back up the idea that the wealthy, famous and powerful tend to attract partners who are above the average in looks and physique. |

Oh my god I've been wasting my time! There's an overwhelming preference on dadbods.
Good on ye, there is a lot of pressure on (mainly younger, dads get away with it more) guys because of shows like Love Island to look muscular or ripped.
My physique is an unfortunate side effect of a lifelong affair with sports and training. I enjoy it an my body responds well to exercise. Some of the posts here all but imply being in shape is some sort of obsessive vanity project....pffft.
Unfortunately if women prefer Dad bids...I'll still look this way, because I like it. |
