Has the social side of Fab died

Fermanagh/ Monaghan,

We were trying to organise a social meet for last night, spoke to a few couple over the past wk but no one was interested or were busy for a social meet...

I'm Intrested on peoples opinions on social meets.

Do people see them as a waste of time, and only want play meets.

I think social meets are a great start and with some flirty banter and craic help all to get comfortable.

Well people who don't want to interact socially first probably aren't people we'd want to play with anyway - so I guess it works well for both parties. They don't have their time wasted and we can continue with our preferences lol

Not easy for single guys. I was at one in Belfast no one really took my eye. We left early but pulled into a layby on the way home for a shag

Wich brings up the question, How can you enjoy sharing your body (and mind) with someone unless you converse n have a bit of craic to see if there is some kind of spark. Yes by texting n messaging in fab you'll get a flicker but surely for me there has to be a bit more of a connection than that.

Totally agree.

We have had some great social meets, laughter and craic all night. There might not have been a connection or spark but at the end of the night we enjoyed meeting the couple.

If the meet ending with another meet arranged for fun then even better.

I'd love for a hot, dark haired Irish man to live near me. Someone like Gerald Butler and the other guy from the movie P.S I Love you!

Just love the Irish and your accent. You guys could talk rubbish to me all day long and I'll still be hooked!

I think your right, its hard to arrange an intimate social .... we both work shifts and have kids so everything needs to be planned months in advance, and IMO socials r essential before any fun begins .... its one for the reasons we started planning parties! meet lots of people on 1 night and simply say no with zero pressure or arrange a later play date ... even r Play parties are very social too

Put my name down to socials / Been to a few socials and cancelled.

Real life always seems to throw curve balls in this secret lifestyle. Only thing that can be done is to let organiser know as soon as possible so the invitation can go to someone else

for the organisers there is alot of work, time, effort involved in organising a social ... parties then to be among friends or with people you chat to in the rooms or forums... but as with Vanilla socials loads put name forward & then bail, cancel or no show ..

although looking for a face foto & contact details tends to out the fake accounts and the guys masscarading as women or couples.

maybe Vanilla, Red Velvet & the Limerick could organise more social events over the summer months
