Kaizer has fond memories of The Boys in Green headin to the Schtates with Big Jack! Houghton 1-0

I remember quite a bit from 1994. For some reason that year sticks out in memory.

Kurt's death.

The release of Pantera's 'Far Beyond Driven'.

My discovery of Sepultura. (I was late to that party)

Ray Houghton scoring against Italy in the World Cup.

I'd say they were a mix of the two. Jerry Cantrell is certainly very much a classic metal guitar hero but the overall sound owed a fair bit to the Seattle sound.

They were brilliant however you want to call them, though!

I will never bother you

I will never promise to

I will never follow you

I will never bother you

Never say a word again

I will crawl away for good

I will move away from here

You won't be afraid of fear

No thought was put into this

I always knew it would come to this

Things have never been so swell

And I have never failed to fail

Pain

Pain

Pain

You know you're right

You know you're right

You know you're right

It's so warm and calm inside

I no longer have to hide

There's talk about someone else

Sterling silver begins to melt

Nothin' really bothers her

She just wants to love herself

I will move away from here

You won't be afraid of fear

No thought was put into this

I always knew it'd come to this

Things have never been so swell

And I have never failed to fail

Pain

Pain

Pain…

In the early summer of '94....

Metallica re-released 'One',

Crash Test Dummys were in the charts with their one hit wonder, 'Mmm mmm mmm mmm',

Wet Wet Wet were on the top spot for about 4 months,

I believe The Cranberries released 'Linger'.

And Bruce Dickinson released his first solo single since leaving Iron Maiden the previous year, 'Tears of the Dragon'

Mad how I remember all this.

Went back to Féile last year it's a tad too civilised for me having a procescco bar instead of sneaking in a bag of cans. So I felt duly obliged to put two hip flasks in my bra.
