Its happened to pretty much all of us i’d say. Someone cancels a meet at short notice after you have arrangements made.
As well as veris, i would love to see a “Meet Reliability” feature for all members, where, if someone doesnt turn up for a meet or pulls out at short notice - doesn't matter if the reason is “genuine” or not, you can post that on their profile sonthat they get a meet reliability percentage displayed.
Then others can make judgement to meet or not based on their reliability.
Good idea or not?
Or what other site feature do you feel would be useful? |

Of course they do; but that doesnt really help the other person who also perhaps made arrangements to meet (maybe even commited to a financial burden) and was let down.
The score shouldnt take (maybe perfectly valid) reasons into account, simply be a reflection of how reliable that person is when they commit to a meet. |

Not gonna happen because as silvershlong said it's open to abuse but also no guarantee either that someone turns up. Besides it can happen to all of us that we have to cancel a meet short notice.
A string of proper meet veris and my gut feeling is what I go with and it works well for me.  |

No to many fake profiles on here it’s bad enough getting abuse when you don’t want to meet a guy but imagine him having control on your profile to lower your %.
And even if you limit it to only people with verification they still take it bad when rejected

I guess we could also hypohesize that given the gender imbalance on Fab ladies will not experience this as much as guys.
But that would just be a reckless and lazy interpretation of the stats.  |

I’ve had meets cancelled at the last minute and I’ve also had to cancel at the last minute myself. We all have lives outside of fab and things happen. I will always give someone the benefit of the doubt once but they don’t get another chance if they cancel a second time.
As for reporting people for it. I think like others have said that it’s too open for abuse. What’s stopping a person from reporting you if the meet didn’t go the way they wanted? |

It is a conundrum how to sort it . I was chatting to a girl recently who was verified by a man by a meet . After chatting to her she told me that they didn't actually meet at all. These types of verifications don't help . |

Does this mean if a person doesn't turn up for their first meet they will get a 0% meet reliability score? Very harsh!! |

No not a good idea
As someone else it be abused
Not forgetting we all have freinds family jobs and life demands so fab is only a small part of people life
Being stood up and cancelled on myself
And once had to cancel a hr beforehand for reasons out of my control

Your idea is halfway there. Verifications should be two step process.
Process 1 should be clicking "Meet arranged". The date and time that people arranged to meet and when they want to meet should be logged.
Process 2 should be clicking what happened next, the meet was cancelled, the meet was a no-show/disputed, the meet happened with a veri summary.
Knowing someone has 2 meets, organised on a Wed, happened on a friday is great to know.
Knowing someone organised an hour before a meet is great to know.
People could implement this feature themselves by writing the verifications in a standard format instead of treating as erotic story time. |

That's what verifications are for.
Verifications are very powerful not as much by what they say although that is relevant but more by how many verifications and who they are from.
No verifications in the last 5 months well then it's a simple phone conversation it that doesn't happen very easily them move on.
People have real lives and jobs and families. Sometimes things come up and you have to cancel.
Communication is key.

Then tell people you wont verify them. Right now if you verify them they know when you met, so there would be no difference in that respect. It will just give clearer information to people who take part in verifying each other. |

Guess then you’ll be in control of whether or not they show up etc. I can’t see anything working. Some things maybe a deterrent but the nature of the site if something comes up you can’t say well I’m sorry I’ve already made plans to fuck someone. I don’t think many purposely decide to let people down. |

It would be just abused by those upset by a cancellation or worse by those refused a meet in the first place. It is a good theory but be pure carnage in practice. |

Well I think it would be rather interesting to write a verify like a ebay review. Such as his parcel was as decribed super fast delivery. Quick transaction great communication. Great service happy to recommend five star would deal with again.

I've no issue to verify someone after I've met but I normally dont verify immediately so it's just a vage indication when it did happen.
It's not really clear if your step one is on display to the public but if so can you imagine the kindergarten behaviour that would trigger? |

I always call one of my friends just in case if someone cancel the meeting 10mins before should meet me

I don’t think that would be fair at all.
Yes there are lots of people on her that mess about but I think it would be unfair for someone to get a bad reliability rating for having to cancel a meet.
I’m sure most of us have had to cancel a meet at some stage for a genuine reason, due to getting called into work at short notice or a sick child or other everyday things that go on in life.
We just go by the verifications that people already have and make up our mind from there. |

Would be great if there was also a rating system where you could include stars for:
PUNCTUALITY
HYGIENE/GROOMING 
SIMILAR TO PROFILE 
Also, if it was one ip address/mobile number per FAB account, we could seriously reduce the amount of timewasters on here...
