Sharing the pain of childbirth

Don’t know why, but the “small cocks” thread reminded me of this...
Many years ago i was going out with a girl who was studying Social Anthropology at university.
She showed me a picture in a book one day of a tribe of people somewhere in south america that were around 50 yrs behind modern civilization.
The picture was of a woman in childbirth on a bed. Above and slightly behind her at the head of the bed, there was a seat where her husband was sitting. A cord or thin rope was extending from under what looked like shorts. The woman had the cord in her hand.
The cord was wrapped round the guys testes. Every time the woman had a labor pain or pushed, she pulled the cord so that the father of the child also feels the pain.
This was in this race of peoples culture; it was natural to them and all fathers went through it..!

Regarding your question my answer is Yes 
Why? Giving a birth is a painful miracle for women and that ritual just remind me being parents its a huge responsibility, and sharing the pain during the childbirth should show all the men what we feel. Maybe it is not nice but being in relationship you share bad and good together...

Unfair. She has to take some pain in her pampered life. Pampered with mother and toddlers ( all them yummy milfs), given flowers all the time , wild whistles as she totters down the road, men lusting after her, doors opened for her, complimented on, given diamonds whereas for us guys, unless you support Man City or possibly Chelsea and 1 or 2 others , we are in a world of hurt most weekends, and get no sympathy when we roll in at 3 am and have a mother of all hangovers the next day. So no!!... suffer woman !!! |

2 weeks is what the goverment have introduced but i have heard of some companies introducing up to 8 weeks. I took 4 weeks but had to use 2 weeks holidays on top of my leave |

actually quite enjoyed the time off after the birth of our last one. i didn't get to spend that time with my first. Babies that age are easy. only 3 things are major issues for them. Food, dirty nappy and sleep. |

I’m surprised that no-one has commented yet that it might be a very effective contraceptive for future pregnancies - especially as it would be the guy making sure all the contraception is in place as he doesnt want to go through that again..!! |

I see the rationale for that tribes thinking, particularly in light of some of the comments above as it might help some folk realise that it’s labour, not a walk in the park but women’s bodies are built for pregnancy and birth, testicles (with the exception of a few kinkier males) are not meant for being tied up with string and tugged! |
