I’ve been doing some thinking a lot of the Irish guilt taboos have been broken
1. Unmarried Mothers
2. Being Gay
3. Same Sex Marriage
4. Abortion
Will it ever be socially acceptable to be a swinger or will we always have to hide behind closed doors? Will a swing club ever open on Main Street? |

We are maybe a decade or two away from it here in the small towns in Ireland. |

Ireland is not that backwards with sexuality and sex. Geez let's be honest how many one nighters happen every weekend
Thing is tho there will always be things you have to keep to yourself. Take some couple who swings. There would never be a society where they can openly tell co workers, friends or neighbours without dirty looks or comments from some.
That's just society. Sure someone, somewhere in Ireland got caught cheating during the week (most likely right) so are they gonna be honest and say they did the dirt to everyone who questions why happens? Of course not. Keep it close to your chest. Give my old excuse to why you're currently single.
Too long dont read: keep things to yourself.

When so many Irish swingers are so judgemental, how can we expect Irish society as a whole to be more accepting? Changes in attitudes need to happen within this 'community' first.
These attitudes are clear to see even on the Ireland forum. If someone posts a thread about a kink, fetish, interest, or preference, the threads rarely run without someone telling the OP how abhorrent they are or how they are swinging 'wrong'. People who disagree find it impossible to simply skip the thread, or to at least discuss the topic in a reasonable manner... The finger-wagging and tut-tutting moral superiority smugness gene is too strong, and in the end most just end up showing their complete and utter ignorance of the actual topic being discussed, or of anything really outside their own narrow experience.
And yes... I am judging those who are judgemental... I am aware of the irony |

I noticed that , specially when it's a thread about kinks more jump in pointing fingers than actually participating on the discussion , just live and let live , but nowadays seems everyone thinks the fact they don't like something means no one else can , it's the political correctness dictatorship days with the army of keyboard warriors as the strong arm forcing it |
