Mine goes into to cupboard, counter space is a bit limited so I put it up out of the way. If I had a bigger kitchen I'd leave it out.

Toaster, George foreman, waffle maker all have their own cupboard. Toaster even has it's own tray that it sits on

It stays out like my coffee machine, kettle, my car stays on my drive and my garage unless I expect subzero temperatures or am away for a prolonged period. My laptop sits on my desk, my clock sits on my wall even when I'm not looking at it to see the time too.

Never seen a press in or near a kitchen, cupboards yes. I guess it could be near if in a flat though. I thought a press was where the hot tank is kept and one stores Linen and toweling in, maybe a vacuum cleaner...never thought of hiding a toaster in there.

Any cupboard can be called a press in Ireland.

Although I did once check into a £1000 a night hotel to find the tea coffee tray with kettle etc in the wardrobe. That’s ok I suppose if it was expected to be used on an exterior surface. But firstly , the movement of the tray was beneath me and my £1000 and secondly, there was a plug socket in the wardrobe and the kettle was plugged into it. So yes, out of sight out of mind but with damp clothes hanging above!

Mine's in the closet - I obviously have issues.

It's aesthetically pleasing, I just don't use it often for it to have pride of place.

I've two coffee machines though

I tend to only use the filtered one when I have company. Seems a bit wasteful otherwise. But I do love trying out new varieties

I leave mine out, but only cos it’s handy, but as I do like a tidy counter top, I may have to start concealing it but then I run the risk of not getting my toast in the morning. Hmmm
