I exchanged 5 or 6 amicable messages with a lady today, her last reply was lol to something funny I said.. Thinking cool could be on to something here, I decided to reply again but nope blocked  , honastly wtf? Rant over moving on  |

I've seen alot of threads like this and I'm very aware of bieng full on, I don't do that.. Maybe the latter, I'm not going to dwell on it but I just found it really strange.. Now that I think of it could have been her husband |

If someone replied to me with just one word or an emoji, I'd know I'd lost their interest, and likewise if I found that conversation with someone had dwindled to the point of me actually just using one word replies or emojis (I mean, have you seen the length of my forum posts??), I was definitely not interested. So she probably just blocked you to save herself from an awkward 'it's not you, it's me' conversation. Rude, I know, but that's Fab. If you only exchanged a handful of messages, she had probably just replied out of politeness or curiosity in the first place. Perception is a funny thing on here. One person will see a couple of messages as being polite while another will see them as encouraging.
As you said... Its done with now, so chalk it up to experience and move on  |

I take it as no interest if I get a reply that doesn't look for a response ie, 'lol' or 'true'.
There's nothing to work with which to me means she doesn't want to know more.
I'm guilty of doing the same.
Dragging a conversation is excruciating. |

There is no winning really some people will give out because someone didnt respond, some because they.say no and other because of short answers.

Sometimes you can't decide until you've engaged though. Someone may seem interesting at first, but then find that the conversation lacks something and you lose interest. You can't win on here, you're damned for giving someone a chance, and damned if you don't  |

Exactly this. Saves me typing out all the same stuff.
In short if anybody responds to me with just lol then I see the conversation as being dead in the water and they don't want to carry on the conversation, so I just leave them to it. |

Maybe...generally when you message someone you either get no reply or a reply, in this case I recieved a reply where she complimented the pics i sent, a few more messages flowed back and forth and then an unexplained block.. No big deal there's a reason for everything and even if she did get a laugh it wouldnt bother me too much either |
