"we are all here for the same thing"

We are so not and it's one of those lines in messages or in forum comments which reflect just how close-minded members of this 'community' can be.

So here's a shout out to everyone:

The bulls, the cuckolds, the hot wives and subs,

The Doms, the Switches, the ones who like Clubs,

The chatters, the posters, the purely hot pic'ers,

The lovers of leather and wearing women's knickers,

The couples, the singles, the Fab straight and curious,

The bi, straight and gays, the transgender and confused of us,

The erotic writers and photographers. The worshippers of feet,

A more diverse membership you probably won't ever meet.

The NSAs, FWBs, regulars and fuck buddies,

The cammers and phone sexers, the pony players and puppies,

The party animals and socialites, and those dancing on tables,

And last but not least, those who don't like labels.

If I've omitted anyone, I do apologise, it truly is a very diverse membership and everyone is looking for something different... Please feel free to add your own lines to include anyone I left out!!

Have a Fab weekend everyone, whatever and whoever you get up to

The NOT meeting.

If it causes us to think, whatever it is, it's always good. It may take us down a different path than originally intended but it's good. Nice one OP.

Thanks P! Yes... But I think us 'not meeting' folk are probably covered in there somewhere too among the chatters and posters

The thread seems to have gone a little sideways... It was intended as a positive thing, an acceptance that everyone has different desires and that not everyone wants the same thing from Fab, but even in this people see those who's wants and needs differ from their own as a failure to fulfil their expectations.

But even negativity has to be accepted, I can't expect those with a negative outlook to conform just because I prefer to be positive

"And yet we all look for attention in one way or the other."

Do we? I see my current experience to be more about interaction than attention. I have conversations on a myriad topics with interesting people from diverse backgrounds thanks to the Forums. If someone loses interest in the conversation and wanders off, I don't pursue them and want to know why. I'm not that needy. When I am free to meet and do want attention, I just drop filters, upload a new photo, throw up a few suggestive status updates and hey presto... Page 1 and a full inbox (it really is as easy as that). As for my forum posts, I like to get people thinking... If they remember the discussion or topic, it's all good, doesn't matter whether they remember who posted it

Somewhat of a fallacy I know, technically one cannot have a 'full' inbox on Fab. There is no limit, but you get the idea

I don't mean it in a negative way as in attention seeking (although some on here might). Also don't mean to diminish your post quite contrary, just saying there's a common denominator.

Attention as per Oxford dictionary is 'the mental faculty of considering or taking notice of someone or something' respectively

'the action of dealing with or taking special care of someone or something'.

Interaction says it sex and/or conversation is a form of attention giving and receiving. You could even argue trolling and time wasting is however it's a lopsided one.

Stop licking them then

Did you know that the clinical term for a fear of labels is Pittakionophobia? It relates to labels and stickers rather than classification, but I just thought you might like it

I know you didn't but your comment made me think and question my own Fab needs and experience, which is always a good thing sometimes we forget that our experiences and desires evolve and a label that may have fit once, might not anymore

think a lot of people should remember this before they go "bantering" or slagging off peoples threads on here and pulling it off into tangents which are basically a conversation with their pals
