Fab age versus real age

A lot of people lie about their real age on Fab, some of them by a lot of years.
It makes it ridiculous and sometimes embarrassing when you meet them face to face.
Age is just a state of mind, of course, but still  !
I always wonder, how can some people here, shave off 10 or 15 years at least of their real age, when the reality shows otherwise!?  |

I agree as we don’t understand as you shall know when you meet them.
I’m proud to be in my 40s and swinging - don’t think I look 40 and Neither does Eros. |

"I'd say most do it to get passed filters, shaving a year or two off is OK but abit silly to change age by 15 years and think you can get away with it "

I know some people do it by a few years to throw off people they might know spotting them.
But ya the 10+ year thing might be a bit much

I publish my real age, but I rarely act it, in my head I'm at least 20 yrs younger...but as I find this an ageist site, anything over 50 is a problem for meets |

My age is real, I've come to terms with it haha I assume most do it to get passed age filters.
Pretty sure one guy I meet is a few years younger than his profile states. |

I can understand a year or two to avoid the filter trap. My own age is my real age. I don't give a damn.
I had one guy texting me who kept going on about how we were the same age, grew up listening to the same bands, etc, he even listed a few. Well when he sent face pic he was at least 15 to 20 years older than me.
What was the point the truth will be obvious eventually. |

Maybe I was too quick to judge but I was suss about him anyway from the conversation he made too many references to our shared teenage years. |

I was going to say that there are always photos with which you could check the age profile, but I realize that this too can be doctored. I suppose you just have to hope that the people you meet are honest. If not, well you can always walk away. This would probably be the best course of action, and a lesson for the liars.
