I was there about 10 yrs ago, stayed down south in st.laurence, beautiful beaches and the food is lovely. We worked our way up the west coast to holetown and speightstown. I was there for my sisters wedding but I think I would of liked it more if I was with someone. A bit of a romantic spot.

All good points mentioned above. However I would add that I would advise you get a hire car for a couple of days and spend at least a day having a look around the deserted , resort- less dramatic east coast where all the surfing is done. More like the real Barbados before the tourists arrived

Barbados is over 1000km from the Dominican Republic. Just because they have storms doesn’t mean Barbados will have them

Look for Bizzy Williams in the boat club. Find him. Let him take you on adventures.

Was there about 4 years ago with an ex, during their stormy season in October. We got lucky though and had sun the whole time and at night we were watching lighting over the ocean off in the distance as we drank at a tiki bar... was amazing! Oistins fish fry is good craic... It's where all the locals go. Only negative I found about the place was we rented a car and drove around the coast but its so overdeveloped that you can't actually see much beach or ocean, only front of hotels and houses.

You'll have an amazing time! So jealous... Can I come too??
