People call cigarettes nails in a coffin yet there's smokers who smoke for 35+ years too.

Don't take everything too seriously :p

"Coffins on wheels "

Actually, the fully enclosed nature of a car would make them more like coffins on wheels. A bike is more open air, like a Viking funeral pyre... ????

And I'd rather go out that way that living a spotless life and dying in my bed at 95 of absolutely nothing...

It's not that you will die younger, it is how you will die and on fire or cut in half is about right.

But not after your family/friends go through hell visiting you in hospital, watching you go through skin grafts, having to talk with doctors about your limbs being cut off, if you will ever walk, if your organs can be donated when you die. It could be drawn out over months, or a year. Your family watching you go through 4 months of agony etc.

You're basically saying thats how you want to go.

Smokers use the same excuse, like living to 80 is just as good as 90. No its not, not if you spend 5 years gasping for air as you die.

There is a middle ground, you dont have to be boring, you can roll the window down in the car, or maybe get one with a sunroof and open that.

Think you need to go off and start a rap me up in cotton wool thread or something. You make being a biker sound like a death sentence....get a grip. Plenty of responsible bikers out there just the same as there are plenty of lunatics who ride beyond their talent and take risks. 90% of the time it's them that end up broke up in hospital or worse. And the 1's that need skin grafts are the ones that don't wear proper protective gear designed to protect your skin if your unlucky and end up sliding down the tarmac. I wear all the gear all the timed, always ride prepared for the slide. Every biker has an off or 2 at some point just the the same as every car driver has a couple of crashes during their life. Statisticly there the same can range from minor incidednt to serious collision or walk away unscathed to life changing or fatal.....Just drive a car with the windows down, like that would even be remotely like riding a bike lol
