First time poster here but i really need advice or reassuring hopefully. So i accepted a friend request from a random girl on fb bad idea on my part and yes i know i shud av known better!! Nways to cut to d chase she video called me on messenger proceeded to get naked and masturbate asking me to do same which i did. within minutes i recieved messages demanding my gmail hangouts and that she wud send on video to all my friends on fb. I blocked straight away but im shitting myself here. |

This type of cyber bullying makes me mad  I doubt very much that anything will come of it so try to settle yourself and move on. However, for future reference, what appears too good to be true generally is not true x |

iv no idea why she asked for them i just got such a shock when i read i message i dudnt even reply im jumping everytime i get a message or phone call since it happened. |

Change your settings on fb so you have to approve anything you're tagged in & hide your friends list.

Happen to me few years ago same thing went to police they said couldn't do anything but if I paid them they come again looking for money so I just text her said post it maybe when people see size my cock I might get girl friend it work they didn't post it but for 3 days my piece mind was gone I know what your going though Don't Pay u will be ok |

Do not pay any money out and lads seriously be careful this is going on all the time, especially through FB, do not accept random friend requests, the majority of women do not add random people and ask them to masturbate for them.
Report it the only way things like this can be dealt with is if enough people report it something has to be done. |

Ok take a step back from the fear and look at this logically.
1. She doesnt have access to all your fb friends so how could she send it to them
2. Even posting it publicly on fb breaches their content rules so would be taken down
3. If she was able to somehow hack access to your friends list she wouldn't need to make this demand via hangouts etc so obviously isnt smart enough to do that
These scams rely on the fear of what "could" happen but the reality is actually a lot less as to actually follow through on a threat like this requires a lot of effort for no return so why bother. Dont pay anything as it will just continue with more demands & threats if you do. |

I agree, lots of good advice above. Easy for us to say but stay calm, you're understandably worried but it will pass. Don't give in.

I actually work in IT and over the past few years I have had 6 different friends (both male & female) experience variations of this and come looking for help. Not one of them paid and none of them had anything published. It took longer for some of them to go away with more threatening emails but in the end just ignoring them achieved the desired result. These scammers are inherently lazy so its just easier to move onto next target. Basically your not actually worth the extra effort to follow thru with the threat if your not going to pay up and anyway going thru with the threat removes any leverage they have. Its easier to move onto the next target. |
