A few years ago I just got it in my head that I wanted to learn the names, locations and flags of every country in the world. And I did.
I can still recite them today.
Now I have it in my head that I'm going to learn to speak Dutch.
I love the Netherlands and hope to live there in the next few years so why not try out the language eh?
What mad notions have any of you had over the years? |

When I (Jay) was with my ex many moons ago we decided to learn something completely new within a 12 month period every year.
We learnt to play guitar, the piano, learnt Gaelic, she learnt knitting, I learnt to read sheet music, among other things.
Great way to keep an active mind. |

After taking up long distance running and also enjoying walks in the great outdoors, combined with having a love for exploring other countries and cultures I took on a mad notion to throw a backpack on and travel around the world on foot. Maybe someday before I get too old. |

I decided I wanted to save the world. I went off on my travels and did my best. Along the way I had many adventures. Then I came back to Ireland and appreciated all the little things we consider as entitlement, schools, education, a legal system, hospitals, clean water, friendly people, freedom to say what I like, etc. I didn't save the whole world, but made a difference to any people's lives. Glad I did it. |

I'm guilty of procrastinating too buddy. I always wanted to write and record an album of Reggae instrumental songs and I finally finished it a few weeks ago after been working on it for 13 months. |

It is nice to sit back and listen to the finished product knowing you created it.
And to be honest I think it's quite a good album as far as Reggae/Dub Reggae goes, which makes it very satisfying.
I'm currently working on a Metal concept album I started over 2 years ago but for some reason left it on the shelf about a year and a half ago.
It'll probably take me another 2 years to finish it  |
