Why do people make fake profiles, use fake pics and pretend they’re couples or single women. Is it to pass the time, have the craic or are they just living in a fantasy world

In most cases its down to linelyness, guys that get no reply on here or other sites create fake profile to see how the other half live and get hooked on it, there have been study on this, they get hooked on the attention and the feeling of being popular

Reading some of the threads they start I'd say there fantasists. They have empty lifes .

You be surprised. I went for an impromptu meet a few weeks back. The person's profile said 37 years old. When I got there the person turned out to be 53 and nothing like the pictures.

What was more alarming is that the profile had over 130 verifications.

I asked her how the hell she had managed to get over 130 verifications with fake pics and a false age.

She said a friend had set up her profile for her and then people she had meets with or met at meet new greets would give her a verification.
