Well everyone puts their good pics up even in normal life but I have met quite a few narcissistic people in my life and and I definitely don't think just cause someone takes a good angled pic on Fab makes them have narcissistic tendencies. |

Not everyone who have a deep need for attention and admiration are narcissistic. I think the tinternet world we live in isolates people, which is not natural, as we are very social dependent beings. This belonging and craving is often misinterpreted for narcissism, which is a mental disorder. The latter needs to be medically researched rather than confusing it from a yearning to be wanted, accepted and loved which is something all beings want and need. |

As humans we all crave admiration, affirmation and affection. Narcissistic tendencies are more along the line of control over a person, making them seem that no matter how much they try to please their narcissistic partner they not doing it right, that no one else will ever love them to the extent that any attention even the worst that narcissistic person can dole out is better than none. |

The pics part is tongue in cheek ..but I guess I'm thinking more in terms of the constant pic generators!...Body part pics from every angle but carefully posed to present most aesthetically pleasing version of ourselves..Putting pics out there for public scrutiny and likes..And it's not a criticism btw..just a musing!
Well everyone puts their good pics up even in normal life but I have met quite a few narcissistic people in my life and and I definitely don't think just cause someone takes a good angled pic on Fab makes them have narcissistic tendencies.

As humans we all crave admiration, affirmation and affection. Narcissistic tendencies are more along the line of control over a person, making them seem that no matter how much they try to please their narcissistic partner they not doing it right, that no one else will ever love them to the extent that any attention even the worst that narcissistic person can dole out is better than none."
Of course we do, we are soctal animals after all! ...however you do not have to be in a relationship to be a narcissist, and if you are it does not necessarily follow that if you are that it will have a negative impact on your partner..unless you are not aware of them or you are aware and don't care enough to adapt...Narcissistic tendencies are not necessarily bad or evil..Narcissistic disorders are a whole different kettle of fish!

I don't know three people who have been in relationships with people with narcissistic disorders but if I did..I would probably suggest a different selection process for picking partners! But my original comment was referring to tendencies not disorders..and there is a difference! |
