"And after that first hour in Louth, when she's shown you all it has to offer, she'll spend the rest of the day showing you the historical splendour of the Royal County "
Oi our splendid medieval history and walls ...an old cross or two and a bloody mountain not to mention the space where the leinster trophy should be after louth was robbed .... it'll take 3hrs at least !!! |

You'd have to take them for a pint in Mrs O's in Skryne, to show them the pub in the Guinness Christmas ad and then the Hill of Tara is only a mile away (who's driving? ), That's after you've visited Newgrange in your way over, of course.
Though we should ask the OP, what sort of sights they had in mind, perhaps? |

NO!
As you're in Dublin, it would be classed as surrounding counties but we'd never call it that.
We're just happy we're on the right side of the M50 and the right side of the Shannon.
I may stick on some popcorn for myself now ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

Be prepared its far bigger country than you realise..
My advice is be selective in advance of what you want to see as opposed trying to cram too much in and missing out.
Depends how long you staying and where... |

Fight? Never!
We're lovers, not fighters.
Also, we're doing a disservice to OP by not mentioning other points of interest.
Guinness Storehouse
Trinity College
The Brazen Head
The Viking Tour
Christchurch
Cliffs of Moher
Dingle n the Ring of Kerry
Sorry but Nova are playing Deep Purple so I have to stop |

"We are planning to take a trip to Ireland.
Can anyone give us some recommendations of places to visit please?"
Need to be more specific.... Is your trip a weekend jaunt.... Are you looking for a longer stay.. Looking to tour... One base... Interests?
One thing I'm sure you'll enjoy the craic and sample warm Irish hospitality.. |
