"I just bulk delete them. "
don't delete them. if you do they can wink again. winks disappear after a month so your wink free from that person for a month |

"Is the wink feature a waste of time or do people still use it too start a chat??"
It depends, some people don't bother winking or looking at them at all so yeah that would be a waste of time. But others use it. In my case, I do send a wink back if I'm interested. Someone sending me a wink would have more chance of a mail from me than someone who's probably mailed me already. |

As women get inundated with all sorts of mail and random requests I would say the wink from a guy just lacks effort and imagination. However if a female or couple wink I would think its more a sign they are interested and are testing waters to see if there is an interest or response back. Though if I reply it would be more than a one liner |

"They are for girls, its not very polite for a woman to talk to a man first."
Have to disagree as anytime I’ve gotten a message from a woman it’s been great, even when it wasn’t a chat up and yes a message isn’t always about jumping into to bed ! |

We are not going to respond to a wink from someone who clearly doesn't match what we are looking for.why would we?
Then of course, when we do respond by winking back, the next thing,a friend invite is sent that's when we lose all interest, make a note in the private notes and move on. |
