Tineye is your friend.. we always reverse pic search any potential meets. And 9 times out if 10, if a guy is verified but has veries hidden they're fake.. we know there are exception to this rule, but by and large it holds true |

9 out of 10 potential meets have had fake pics? Or 9 out of 10 people who dont publish there veries?
Either way that seems very high, I'd be reviewing your selection process  |

That hasnt been my expiriance on here.
I make it very clear to any meets that I dont want a veri and it hasnt held me back.
So by all means speak for yourself but not for all couples and girls |

Well I guess it depends on yor judge of character but speaking directly to someone would give me a better idea of someone than a veri from someone I know nothing about in my opinion.

After what happened me last week I wouldn't completely trust verifications.
Yes, they can give an indication of what a person on here may be like but as the OP has stated, the person could be a complete fraud.
Last week I went for an impromptu meet with someone I had been chatting to for a while. Her profile said she was 37.
When I got to her hotel room this woman was clearly not 37 and looked nothing like her pics. When I politely quizzed her she said she was actually 53 and as she looked at me She said "I'm just being honest".
Ermmmm no. No you are not being honest when your profile states you are 16 years younger than you actually are and when the pics displayed on your profile are not actually you.
But what left me most bewildered was that this person had 131 verifications.
I asked her how it was possible to have accumulated 131 verifications when she is clearly being dishonest about her age and appearance.
She said that a friend of her's made the profile for her and that after meets or meet and greets people she had met or spoken to would just leave her a verification.
I was absolutely disgusted and almost lost all faith in Fab there and then. I asked her to call me a taxi and left right away and came very close to deleting my account.
I'm not saying to totally disregard any verifications a person has but also don't just automatically accept them as being totally authentic.
Weigh up each individual case yourself. |

The veri system is extremely flawed, and we do use our gut instinct.. but when you get massages from guys who've been on the site a few weeks, already have a veri tick but no veris shown, it screams fake

I've seen someone maybe knock a few years of their age and sometimes this could be one of various ways to stop anyone who may know them in real life seeing their profile and realising it's them. That's understandable, but 16 years is quite a difference. It wasn't the real age that totally bothered me, it was the deceit. |

It wasn't the age that bothered me. It was the deceit. Clearly the person takes people for fools and thinks they might proceed with her anyway if they are desparate enough. Maybe some of them do but I'm not one of those persons. |

Because its pretty diffucult for guys to get meets, and one who is new to the site and already has one is a rare thing, and if they are afraid to show it it says they're hiding something. Our opinion and our filter, we dont apologise for it, others can take the chance, thats up to them |

Because its pretty diffucult for guys to get meets, and one who is new to the site and already has one is a rare thing, and if they are afraid to show it it says they're hiding something. Our opinion and our filter, we dont apologise for it, others can take the chance, thats up to them"
Of course, each to their own. Wouldn't agree that a new veri indicates a fake, I often see new profile from women, returning to the site with veri's as old as their new profile, I assume it would have been the same for guys. Anyway is the issue with fake profiles not usually women and couples, guys are guys, can't see a women pretending to be a guy lol. |

I’ve seen so many fake profiles getting verified. Usually by men on the site a year with no verifications themselves. It’s either the men setting up the profile to verify themselves or they are so desperate they are verifying picture in the hope of getting some brownie points. Both really bad form.
The ‘once verified, always verified + changing pictures to different ones’ happens a lot. Lonely f-era hunting for likes or some sort of fantasists...I mean as if you wouldn’t turn on your heels when you realised your time had been wasted.
The solution is to meet people well verified by folk you know to be real, or INSIST on a video/call before any consideration of meeting. |

I've mine hidden, if someone wants to see them they can ask. Majority of mine are social veris pity you can't differentiate , the amount of times I get accused of lying on my profile cause I don't meet couples but a couple has verified me. |

There's a particular account I've seen that is being used to verify people and I've reported it twice. Also different people using the profile. There are some very shady people on here so I prefer to meet people who have met others I know |

"Some people just hide veris that they didn't like or maybe they didn't like a person who left a veri that much or maybe they just don't feel the need to advertise who they met and what went on... many good reasons to hide veris
Single guys know the score, your profile has to catch the eye straight off and veries are one of the main thibgs coupkes and girls look for.. there has to be a VERY good reason why they dont display at least one veri.. the amount of guys that message us with no veries shown, and go deathly quiet when we ask if we can see them is pretty damn high"
I have my meets hidden, they are nobodies business but mine.
Why should I show them to anyone?

Don't get what you mean, if you chat to someone via Cam and you give them a Verification, how's that fake? |

You don't HAVE to show them to anyone, just as we dont have to meet anyone who wont do us the courtesy of showing us thier verifications to show that they are infact genuine and someone we'd like to meet. Its a free country |

Yes, they can give an indication of what a person on here may be like but as the OP has stated, the person could be a complete fraud.
Last week I went for an impromptu meet with someone I had been chatting to for a while. Her profile said she was 37.
When I got to her hotel room this woman was clearly not 37 and looked nothing like her pics. When I politely quizzed her she said she was actually 53 and as she looked at me She said "I'm just being honest".
Ermmmm no. No you are not being honest when your profile states you are 16 years younger than you actually are and when the pics displayed on your profile are not actually you.
But what left me most bewildered was that this person had 131 verifications.
I asked her how it was possible to have accumulated 131 verifications when she is clearly being dishonest about her age and appearance.
She said that a friend of her's made the profile for her and that after meets or meet and greets people she had met or spoken to would just leave her a verification.
I was absolutely disgusted and almost lost all faith in Fab there and then. I asked her to call me a taxi and left right away and came very close to deleting my account.
I'm not saying to totally disregard any verifications a person has but also don't just automatically accept them as being totally authentic.
Weigh up each individual case yourself.

This! I meet verified a guy once and a while after we met he put up internet pics on his profile. I told him to take the pics down. He wouldn't. Fortunately he deleted his profile about a half a year later. He's back though with a new profile, but not DH verified this time. |
