According to the cure anyway. But is it not a good thing to cry and unburden yourself without the fear of appearing soft?

I'm unable to cry so I just keep carrying my sadness around with me...that can't be healthy.

Whats wrong with big boys having a big cry from time to time?

I can cry when I'm happy but not when I'm sad. It's crazy

I cry at home and away, when watching kids or animals videos very rarely properly cry though and usually when it hits it's a complete panic attack meltdown

It's a funny one really, as a fully grown man I probably cried d once or twice, but some personnel events lately made me reach a tipping point where I just couldn't turn off the taps for a while... And I realised its OK to do so... And helps

There would be something wrong with you if you did not cry every so often .

Don't think that's true. I spent years without crying properly as I wouldn't admit I was struggling as a single parent.

It's good to express All our emotions, including crying. Frustration, sadness, grief all bring on different tears. If you don't cry, what other motions can you express? I once lived in a living hell. Every evening I would listen to my fav sad songs to help me cry.. It was very therapeutic. So, roam around your feelings, show them, talk about them, release them. It's good to chat to someone, as well.

Your right boys don't cry(good film by the way) men cry and it's ok to express your emotions, takes a bigger set of balls to cry and say how your feeling than it is to bottle it up. Just my 2 cents

I wouldn't for years outta some misguided notion I had but it isnt good for you. Just go with your emotions if its the right thing to do. Cry if you have to, can take a burden off sometimes.

A fixed smile often disguises anger... Try letting the anger out.. Bash a pillow.

For decades men were told that real men don't cry or that crying is a sign of weakness. Not true.

Crying is a display of emotion. Emotions show that you are human and if any one of you ever feel the need to cry then you should absolutely do so and feel no shame about it. It is a form of release from pain and sorrow.

To not display emotions means that one is either not human or has unresolved issues which they are not addressing or dealing with. This can be dangerous. Sometimes it is ok to not be ok and there is also no shame in admitting that.

If things ever feel too much, reach out to someone but if you can't then let them tears flow. It does release our inner hurt and anxieties.

There is nothing wrong with being human.

Any of you that are going through a hard time, keep that head up. You have friends and ears on this forum at any time.

I'd cry if I felt the need but thankfully life doesn't treat me too badly so I don't feel the need very often. The last time was 18 months ago at the funeral of a close friend.

I rarely let things get on top of me to the point where I would be sad enough to cry. I've always had a great ability to take most things as they are, let them go, and not become overwhelmed by sadness or emotion. Shit happens ya know.

But obviously there has been times where I needed a good cry and I never felt weak about it. If I feel I need it, then I let it happen.

When my best friend's father died, his sadness broke my heart so much that I just held him and let loose for about 10 minutes. You have to let it go when it's there. It's healthy and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

There are certain songs that will almost always bring water to my eyes too. Both sad tears and joyful tears. Two weeks ago I was listening to 'Time' by Pink Floyd and during the guitar solo I welled up with immense joy to be experiencing such beautiful sounds. It's a wonderful feeling that something as simple as sound waves can affect you in such a way.

I love crying to music. It doesn't happen very often but when it does it's spiritual.

It's show that you are human and can be vulnerable. Yes society put unnecessary stress on males to be a certain way.

But I feel a man that knows his emotions is better than been in denial and very bitter.
