It’s the PC generation yall. Snowflakes, trigger warnings and safe spaces. It’s unavoidable in the modern world but what’s the most idiotic piece of “woke” have you seen? I recently had to read a site induction that was written in the third person with a blank space here and there to fill in your perferred pronouns. |

The reason this generation need idotic site inductions is because of your generations incompetenacy and idiocy in taking chances and risk taking putting your lives at risk for work.
Maybe this new generation has more common sense and dont want to risk their lives while st work.

Ignorance? Where exactly did I propose health and safety was a curse? No where. I pointed out the need to remove gender norm pronouns for fear of upsetting someone. Gravity cares not a dot what race, religion, gender or colour someone is if a ladder goes south. |

That or oh, I dunno people take zero responsibility for their actions and always want to blame someone else, “but the manual didn’t say not to put metal in the microwave”... if you need a manual to tell you that you deserve to have you kitchen go up in smoke! |

What started small in some collages in the states is rapidly becoming mainstream. It seams to be everywhere now. Some of it is justified but it can get out of hand. |

I had to google generation woke which shows how clued in I am. According to urban dictionary:
Woke millennials is a term used for the generation of people born at the beginning of the year 2000.
They consider they are superior to any other generation - ie: the war generation, the baby-boomer generation, the generation x - y-or z generation, or any other generation.
They sit at their jobs doing as little as possible, with no real brain power, no original thought process of their own, play video-games constantly whenever they can, moan about politicians whenever they can, without offering anything else, hate everybody a little older or a lot older than themselves, and in complete honesty, they are a complete and total waste of time. They have nothing inside to get them going apart from the ability to be sheep and follow us all into the future abyss of nothing. And they are the sad & useless generation that has been left the task of taking this planet and world forward, heaven help us all.
They are not woke millennials at all. In fact they are a generation of total losers, as dumb as the next, and without any ability to be nothing but dumb-assed sheep.
Dumb millennials is their correct name.
All sounds a bit cruel...dont understand how anyone can generalise so much and taint a whole generation with the same brush. We are all individuals and dont all fit into a marketing bracket / niche thought up by some bored marketing executive trying to impress his boss. |

Urban dictionary is open source, therefore not necessarily the well of deep wisdom.
Born early 2000 makes them max 19, means they had not even a chance yet to prove themselves, so the author of this bit must be a rather bitter person. |

I actually understand how the prounoun thing started. Someone had a sex change and told someone "I prefer she".
Then the person was a total asshole and kept calling them "He" every chance they got.
Now people who make simple mistake of saying "He" or "She" are being punished for it, and its gone too far.
But I think using xhe, and shit like that is brain dead. |

The problem is they do believe it and they have acted on it. Look at Canada. They passed the article 16 law. You can be prosecuted if you miss gender someone. They recommend you ask someone their identifying gender when you first meet. Here’s one madness part of it. If someone identifies as gender fluid you have to ask each time you interact. If that person identifies as male in the morning you address that person as he,him,his. If, during the course of the day, they decide they now feel female but you continue to address them as he,his,him you can be charged. I’ve encountered one once. That was enough for me. |

I don’t think anyone has a problem with someone wanting to be referred to in a certain way... the problem is if this changes all the time and someone is offended because the wrong pronoun/noun was used. |

Unfortunately in my line of work youcan see the different attitude of the current generation of newcomers to the workforce, pass the buck and can't get a grasp on their responsibility in the job. Of course there are people like that of all ages but it's more of a consensus with this group. Reasonably high turnover in staff also. Had 1 guy just go home to bed because he didnt like the light work he had to do early in the morning. We rang him to find out where he was. Casually replied he was at gome in bed and didnt like the work. Walked in next morning like nothing happened. Got a shock  |
