What's the point in winks?
Btw I said winks not wanks.
But what is the point in winking.
Anyone who winks at me I always send a mail and never hear from them. I just don't get them. Winks that is. |

I think the majority of winkers are guys and I’d suspect they do it to a lot at once rather than someone they think they’d click with. I suppose they show your possibly interested without having to write. Or the could be treated as an initial enquiry to see if you wink back. |

It's a subtle way of saying hi, without the disappointment of and unread message. If they wink back then I'd send a message |

For me, (Jack), if I like a pic, it just means I like your pic. A wink is definitely a shy hello. To gauge reaction.Although most times if I'm ,or we, are interested in a couple, then a few lines in a message almost always gets a reply/ |

"I send winks to profiles that I think may interest me... then get a shit boring message say to myself "ah well" and hit delete
If its a boring message it tells you all you need to know
"
Exactly. So there's not really much point in replying is there? Which answeres OP's question why someone doesn't reply to a message sent to a person who winked |

I'm probably a compulsive winker.
If I Fab more than a few pics, I'll usually wink too. Normally it's to say Your Pics Are Gorgeous kinda thing but occasionally it's meant in a more I'd love to Meet You for coffee way.
Depends on the profile I guess.
Occasionally it's just for the sheer hell of a chance encounter.
A lot of ladies say they bulk delete but I know that's not always true and I also can be fairly certain that 99% of guys pay attention to them, though don't always reply.
I never ignore one from a female and always think of it as a conversation opener.
What happens afterwards, the stars will determine |

Its just another way to try and say hi, lets face it getting the initial conversation started is the hardest part on here. If you mess it up after you chatting then its your own fault but getting the chance is the key, have a wink, you never know they may wink back |

Winks are handy because most women have filters up to block single males. When they wink at you then the filter is off for you and you can message back as otherwise you've no way of interacting. |

That's a lot of intention in a little wink. |
