So how many hours on average do the folks on fab regularly work?

Would you say you are paid fairly?

Do you go above or beyond to keep your position as in extra hours no extra payment etc.

39h and out the gap!

Way over paid for what I do. A monkey could be doing it.

But till the monkey gets his work visa. I'll keep doing my job and taking my wages home.

Money for Jam!

60 hrs over 6 days. Day, evening and night shift and definitely not paid enough but it's a guaranteed job and no worry that p45 could b issued any day

Hours vary, but to be honest I wouldnt be happy in a job where I was watching the clock to hit 39 hours to run out the door. I like what I do so I enjoy it even on the long weeks

50 to 60 hours. Keeps me out of mischief.

No paid overtime.

Not paid quite what I should be....But hoping the dedication will pay off eventually

I work 33 - 37 hours per week normally, every hour I work is paid, have never worked unpaid overtime in my life. I work hard in those hours and it can be stressful at times, in return I get flexible working hours to fit around family demands and a good salary from an employer who is demanding but appreciates my efforts. I have no complaints.

90+ a week for 3 straight weeks , I do like my job but not the time away. I have a good employer that seems to respect my opinions and concerns but demand dedication. Get paid accordingly.

Over all I'd say I'm 85% happy with my situation.

70+ hours a week between a job and a business.

Often working overnight, longer than 24h shifts, don't come home for weeks on end. Literally see my housemate twice a month.

Is it worth it? Nope. Not right now.

Am I building myself a solid ground to stand on? Yip. Big ambitions will eventually pay off.

Yeah I was doing the math lol

7 days worked out 5.24hrs,but then I deducted time for getting home and getting something to eat getting ready for bed and then getting up the next morning and having a shower and getting dressed no breakfast

Work on average around between 50 and 70 hours a week plus 10-15 hours travel on top on that some days tend to be 13hour shifts with 3hours travel or 24hour shifts or 48hour shifts. Without a doubt not paid enough for what I do but my job is a vocation and I make a difference to people's lives so that makes it worth while.

How does one end up doing a 24hr shift let alone 48hr? Im guessing there must be rest involved here or would this not be against alot of laws like the european time directive of only being able to work a max of 13hrs with a minimium of 11hrs between shifts surely?

I only work 30 hours a week but it the most unsociable hours. Every weekend Fri to Monday. It is well paid and handy enough but the shift messes up your body clock. At the moment it suits me but not sure if I could do it long term.

I'm 42 yrs in the work force ... between work & travel I'm out of the house 60 hours a week...the pay is ok but extra hours are TOIL..as an employee I have eventually come to realise that enthusiasm, extra work, diligence, loyalty are all taken for granted & expected ... however the slackers & shirkers & those blowing their own trumpet often get more respect & attention than those doing the work ... it's only a job ... I lost a marriage to the job & when we die no epitaph says "good worker" .. give as much time to your family & your life as you give to your job...you are more than your job

On other hand no marriage will provide you your own roof over your head and your own food on the table. Love is overrated and often goes down the drain once the money arguments start seeping through the cracks.

South Side.

I gave up a boring, steady well paid job to follow my passion. I retrained and am now self employed. I work most days of the week, but I don't call it work anymore. And I get paid to do it. Not everybody can make big changes in their lives, but if you can it's worth it.

Waterford

Packed in the full-time 40 hour weeks eight months ago.

Now I work two 12 hour shifts a week and get well paid for it. It's the same company, only I do the weekend shift now.

No problem working weekends as my partying days are long behind me and anytime I need of I can get it.

I get 5 days off a week to do the things that motivate and inspire me all the while getting well paid to sustain it.

The benefits of being single with no kids.
