All right we all know Christmas is near.

I need wine.

For the turkey Main

And a pudding wine.

Around £10 each

And most shops will have them

I lived in France for years, and having tasted I'd say too much of their fantastic wines discovered most of what goes with what dish is bullshit, yes certain wines do go better with different courses than others, but here I don't think there's a point in reading too much into it,for 10 euros your not going to get anything out of the ordinary, but if I was to make a suggestion aldi have a decent malbec about 8 euros, and for desert lidl sell a desert wine called monbazillac especially around Christmas, or another French dessert wine called sauternes.

These desert wines are also drank with a starter called foie gras which is delicious.

Aldi have a rioja around 10 euro nice and spicy great left by the stove for a while to warm up

Have to say some price difference down south and up north for exact wine

South it’s €11

North £5.50

Vodka 1lt £16

So defo worth a trip north.

something like a valpolicella

or Beaujolais with the Turkey. fruity but not too full on..

Almost any New Zealand Marlborough Sauvignon blanc ( from £7 to about £13 in Tesco’s )

Desert wine ; not great in supermarkets ; head over to the Vineyard on Ormeau Rd and go for Elysium black muscat - a Californian sweet wine about £12 half a bottle .
