Underlying characteristics? Someone who adapts as the kissing changes. Tender when it's right, passionate when the mood takes you and doesn't make you gag with their tongue.

I love kissing.with tongues not gagging the partner but feeling his wet tongue around mine.Gently sucking the bottom lips in, kiss the neck around,gentle bite of the ear kiss around then back to the tongue .lol.sucking my tongue with his lips makes me dripping .

Like sex I think what makes a good kisser is indefinable.
There are so many different little aspects to each persons kiss and the situation it happens in. What do they taste like, smell like, what do there hands do, how they manoeuvre their body against yours.
Two completely different kisses can be just as mindblowing as each other.
Its about reading each other and having that electricity.... |

Each time I kiss my wife:-
I feel the softness of the pillow against my cheek. The sheets always a comfort. I close my eyes and am greeted by a familiar sight as I slip to unconscious bliss. Her eyes shine, her lips part revealing the whiteness of her teeth as she smiles. No words are spoken, none are required.
We caress, communicating by sight and touch. Her sweet aroma heightens my senses, we kiss so gently my head swims as if floating on the edge of the atmosphere, my mind drifting as if starved of oxygen. Now I hear her croon, the sound of heaven, the feeling of completeness. My dream is a vision of paradise.
I wake, focusing on the lady beside me, now as every morning my vision is reality.
That for me is how a kiss should be! |

Attention to detail. Sensing how the other person likes to be kissed at that particular time. There are times when it’s slow and sensual, starting with a look before you pull her closer and your lips gently touch and even at this point you should feel that spark as the kiss tells you a lot of what you need to know about a lover. It’s how the passion builds and the softness of moist lips closing on each other, a hand on the small of the back just above the ass and ...... well the touch paper is lit. For me it’s not the kisser, it’s the combination of both people
You could kiss someone who would think they’re a good kisser but it just didn’t work
Similarly you could kiss someone who was thought of as a bad kisser but yet it clicks when you kiss
So for me, it’s the combination of who is kissing and how they react to each other
