Sex addiction and high sex drive are two completely different things,
Also, I think you’d have to be having a hell of a lot of sex to be considered a sex addict, which I certainly am not   |

Someone who might need just one drink in the morning to face the day, but doesn't drink for the rest of the day, could also be considered an addict. |

But there can be no quality. An alcoholic may eventually drink the dregs, in sex addiction the person may eventually stoop to that equivalent low. Sex addiction like any other addiction will make you behave in a way that's harmful to you and hurt those you love. It's a real thing.
High sex drive? Don't we all have those.  |

Theres a school of thought in America ironically enough, that the diseasing of America is a multi billion dollar industry, so, in other words if something is proving to be problematic for some, put a label on it, set up twelve step meetings, and allow the industry to flourish..cynical i know, but.... |

Wouldn't wish it on anybody! As it progresses it will definitely control every aspect of your life.
Like any addiction it will rip your life apart including that of loved ones.
Most definetly, help will be required to successfully work through it

All joking aside, it's a real thing but you have to dismiss the Tiger Woods / Porno version of it.
It doesn't just mean the sexual act itself but accessing porn, camming, or even thinking about sex to such a degree that it is a driving compulsion. Generally rule of thumb is that if you are jeopardising domestic circumstances, finances, or ever your job without the ability to stop then it could be considered an addiction. |

The best explanation of this I heard was that it was a need to stimulate the brain, not really a want or a pleasure just a release of endorphins in the brain through the chase and action! |
