Ya but a lot of people are also removing the stones so it's best to do neither. Lot of people climb the cairn itself and again signs up to say not to climb. |

There is 2 new walks on knocknarea now one from strandhill up the front of the mountain some amazing views. And than another walk from the side bringing you around to the mountain car park. |

Like your style. I was visiting the states and riding to the grand canyon. All my mates said you gotta do route 66. I'm just different. I road up to route 66 took a photo of the bike at the junction and then road back about 30km and ran parallel for about 60km. Came home and told them what I did...never rode it, and I won't.  |

OP. There's a small carpark to the south of standhill golf course. Park there and it's a lovely quiet and private walk around the coast to a busy Strandhill. Plenty of places in the dunes for some fun too. |
