I want to know how people genuinely stay in on the weekend when don't have to be up for work etc.

Because the recuperation time involved is just not worth it, im not long in after being out for the night, and im literally hanging together, mentally, physically and fucking emotionally dont worry about it now, but your day will come

I stay in almost every weekend

Niall goes out for a couple of pints either Friday or Saturday night

I'm not a big drinker normally so I'm just not bothered

In my case weekends is not only going out, drinking and sex

Duties, hobbies, some movie, guitar... Weekend is way too short

I can't see the appeal of going to a pub heaving with d*unks, but each to their own.

Panic attacks stop me from going out, I tend to be ready to go and end up with a panic attack knowing I will be in a pub full with people makes it too much

They might have kids and can’t get a babysitter or have plans the next day and don’t want to be hungover

"I want to know how people genuinely stay in on the weekend when don't have to be up for work etc. "

I stay in most weekends to be honest because there is a lot of sport on TV at the weekends which dictates my social life.

I no longer feel the need to go out just because it's Friday or Saturday night. I need a good reason to go out on those nights

I tend to go out midweek and sometimes for an afternoon drink on a Saturday or Sunday.

Love my own company but also enjoy a night out with friends. Could be a feast or famine sometimes though.

Not often I get the house to myself these days though

Oh Toxic I know that feeling only too well

It's like my kids have become hermits and don't want to leave the house. There always seems to be one of not all of them in the house.

I wouldn't know what silence sounds like anymore

Learning to enjoy your own company and been able to sit happy in your own skin. There is a lot to be said for it. I have no ties or commitments, it comes down to loneliness when on you own to it affects so many people.

I stay in at the weekend as have my kids staying with me. I prefer their company to that offered in any pub.

I wouldnt compromise my time with them but do try to get out during the week when time is my own.

I hear you. Can be so boring staying in when you don’t have to be up

In the morning. My OH goes out every weekend. I don’t go out every weekend but tend to want to go out as it’s so boring on my own. Currently laying in bed watching xfactor wishing I was out. Enjoy whatever ye get up to. Emma

I suffer from terrible hangovers...even after a few pints. So that, and the fact that I go to the gym early on a Sunday and Monday morning is a great detterant in not going out every weekend.

Same as this and I prefer to have a night out to look forward to now and then rather than go out every weekend, less is more

With the new law you can't even go for the one drink. While I'm not supporting drink driving I had the odd pint in the pub and go home, now it's just getting a can.

Last two weeks have been mental more nights out the I care to admit, have a feeling this week will be the same. You know it's bad when you look forward to nights in the gym so you don't have to go out

The bike is an option to get there (5km) but not for getting home.
