it think it means that they have jobs which, if known that they are 'sexually devent' it will affesct thier jobs, doctors, teachers etc.
ts more people who are in the public employment rather than they are stuck up, either that or its just an excuse not to have pictures up! |

if I see that on a profile its an automatic pass on by. So many phrases I see repeated over and over on profiles. Half of them probably don't even know what they mean by half of it just copying what they see others do lol |

I actually noticed this earlier today and decided to set our status as this:
"If you describe yourself as professional on here, does that mean you're getting paid? If so, awful lot of escorts on fab."

I'm not sure that the professionals was aimed at exactly the same age group as tellytubbies - but then as you've stated I'm not part of the generation that was in the Tellytubbies age range when The Processionals were new |

"dnt think it matter if ther a Professional wer all ere for the same thing" to spell badly and use text speak ?
professional can mean educated, cultured, salaried not piece worker, serious, discrete, and so on.
Simple solution, ask the individual what they mean by it |

A factory working sucking off a lawyer, oh no that simply won't do!
I thought swinging was a class leveller but then I remember adult friend finder had a section were you said your education, ie university, phD etc so people out those they deemed stupid
Maybe people will start listing their gcse results on their profiles or ' wil only fuck someone with an a* - art doesn't count '

"probably sumfin real posh or sumfin... dont think us ordinary folks are allowed to know....." i know its rhetorical (and im not explaining that ) but a piece worker is one paid by units produced per work. Essentially their work can only be quantified and qualified by the amount of labour they produce, not the thought processes or decision making a professional is imbursed for. |

" some people like to make an intellectual connection and intelligence can be a turn on, just as others base it on looks and personality. If those two preferences are fair game, then why not intellect or education. Otherwise without preferences what does this become, animals mindlessly rutting ? |

Ah thanks for the explanation, just goes to show fabswingers.com can also be a place of learning. However you are coming across a tad patronizing assuming none of us will know what rhetorical means, if indeed that is what you are trying to imply.

I agree intellect can be
important regards attraction as it can affect your personality, humour etc and your on the same wavelength intellectually you would be more likely to connect with someone better.
Personally I gage relevant intellect based on the overall profile rather than simply judging on profession |

Nice to see inverted snobbery alive and well.
Everyone has their way of separating the wheat from the chaff. If you struggle to understand the adjective professional, people using words with more than two syllables on their profile are obviously not for you, so no need to trouble yourself.
Hardly need to be a rocket scientist to figure that out!
If I happen across a profile that excludes me I don't take umbridge and start threads about it to try and make myself feel better and give the other bitter people an opportunity to join in, no, I accept that I'll never appeal to everyone and get on with my life...but that's just me... |

And its also good to see Snobbery still alive and kicking also.....
Its just that us uncultured ( me ) will rise to the bait offered in threds posted like this.
However, if you want to go back to the original post, not one PRO has come on to say why they put it on their profiles.
I would also dare say, that a lot of people who would frown upon using the word PROFESSIONAL on profiles, would probably have a higher income than some of those PRO's and, would probably have nicer houses and cars etc etc etc..
The difference being, those that dont list PRO in their profile, probably wouldnt even bring that into their thinking when trying to arrange a meet on here, cus the last time i checked, a greater income & car doesnt make for a better fuck ????
So in the absence of these PROS posting and actually saying why they write it on their profiles, its then left to the likes of me ( male half of couple ) to keep inverted snobbery alive and kicking....
It was a good subject to provoke debate, and, if we all learn a little more about the subject then we will all become better people surely ?????? hmmmmm |

Great thread guys, this is my first post on the forum as i didnt even notice it was here.
I think the whole professional thing is self promotion. We will all try to describe ourselves in the best possible light whether that be physically, sexually or intellectually.
So if someone perhaps is not happy with how they look they may steer away from that area and instead talk about there academic achievements or profession.
I have no problem with people using the fact that they can "last all night" or that they "have huge boobs" or that they enjoy "peeing on" Or "being peed on", to attract the type of person they desire, so i certainly have no problem with a professional using that term to attract his/her mate. |

Frankly, no matter how people self promote themselves we are all here for the same thing (sex and lots of it). As you said, professionalism sounds to me a little like a clinical procedure once we get to the bedroom. Best way we find to judge is verifications that sound genuine and lots of fun, most of us I'm sure can spot the 'this person is genuine, can't wait to do it again', and tell who's really fun to play with. |

For me professional isnt about how much you earn or what you own, is someone who is educated, a non time waster and discrete. You seem to have a chip on your shoulder about it |

i think they did ask, this thread is the evidence.
I find it pretty revealing that people need to define themselves a particular way. You can tell from peoples profiles if they have an ounce of intelligence without the need for shameless self promotion, people who call themselves sexy is the same, its all subjective. someone who describes themselves as sexy or intelligent doesn't necessarily mean everyone else will see them that way. I've met plenty of people in 'professional' jobs who i've found a bit dim outside of the tiny circle they worked in.
Just don't bum yourself up too much, it just comes across as needy and arrogant.

I think professional peeps are more than likely really nice people...
But as we would strive for an 'all inclusive' swingers site, or.. even in real life.. an all inclusive society... then, the 'chip' that you would see is probably that we hate all kinds of segregation...
Just in swingers sites it seems to be that PROS seem to set them selves apart from other people.. so, thats why i would sorta 'kick against the pricks' and thats not an insult to anyone.. its Bilical for any heathens reading this.. go look it up in the good book.. and while your at it pray for all your souls cus your all going to hell.. anyhow, i digress...
anyhow.. words r cheap and im really fuckin bored and tired of this bullshit.. so, thats the best reply i can offer for now..
keep the threads and debates going cus it give us all something to read.
xxx
Mr Abbey
( im leavin mrs abbey out of this cus i swore, and shes a really nice person and doesnt swear )
