I only ever use coconut oil. It's all natural and antibacterial so have never suffered any side effects. Also leaves your skin super soft.

Well seeing as it's an oil it's not safe for use with condoms

Also as it is antibacterial and antifungal it'll more than likely change your pH balance leading you prone to a yeast infection but ya after that it's perfectly safe

Personally OP, I wouldn't use anything that wasn't specifically designed for use as a lube.

If you google Yoni massage, they suggest coconut oil. External and internal

Yes but the antifungal and antibacterial properties will kill off anything already present also then changing your pH allowing for any new microorganisms to colonize and cultivate with out competition.

Like it's basic microbiology

A midwife recommended coconut oil and/or almond oil to massage the perineum before labour so ive always thought of it as super safe.

Almond oil, or better still Castor oil is great for breaking down scar tissue, so that's why it's recommended for perineal massage, prior to labour. I'm not sure coconut oil is antibacterial and antifungal. I use organic coconut oil in all my massages, with no adverse side effects.
