Are baby showers, gender reveals etc a good idea? A friend is thinking of having one, but I've always thought they were a bad idea. What if she has a miscarriage or baby is stillborn or whatever, then she's left with all these presents and stuff. Surely it would just make the heartbreak even worse??? |

Yes its an American tradition ... id never been to one until my daughter in law had one ...we had food .. played games ... it was just a bit of fun .. but I do understand what you mean .....my friend's baby died during childbirth , it was horrendous, she had all these presents before the birth , she just wanted it all out of the house .... it felt wrong to have celebrated too early |
