I spent the last 5 minutes thinking why evolution has preferred the male/female structure rather than others.
It seems much easier for good genes to propagate if we were unisex and just fucked ourselves like snakes.
But then I realised while this would create a very strong solo survivor, the entire species we have died off because we need more than strong individuals, we need strong groups to survive all nature throughs at us.
Now suppose I am correct, my next thought is then, well why does it take two people to make babies. Why not three, or four etc...
Or perhaps maybe we did have a creator... |

If we could self reproduce then our offspring would be a genetic copy of ourselves. We need to mix our DNA and to create genetic mutations in our offspring so a multiple of traits can arise and compete.
Otherwise species wouldn't be able to adapt to the many changes in the environments throughout history and would more than likely have gone extinct with the rest of the estimated 99% of every species that has ever existed.
Or simply put, it just works therefore it's successful. Evolution has sorted it out. |
