Mrs here. I don't know why but it seems that most of men are able to write only 1 line and expecting that every woman will hop to their bed 
Of course each person/couple has/have the preferences but some effort to send a bit longer message, having few pics on the profile will be appreciated

Personally I always read the profile first,its common sense to read it to see if you’s are compatible,but if it’s a 17 page rant I stop because I already know we are not compatible  |

When the ratio of men to women is at least 10/1, and a lad has contacted the few profiles he likes the look of to no avail, well the enthusiasm is probably going to fall off a bit no? after realising maybe everyone who you contact wont reply, I would say most guys are barely even used to a two-way conversation on this site.
It takes two to tango remember, maybe your conversations aren't the most exciting either?

Profile also says only intereted in woman and not men. So why message or even talk to men simple put message filters on and there be no issues with men or spelling.

It is but I also think people read the forums with that droll robotic voice in their head and think that's how the poster speaks, it can be difficult to get feelings and humor into the text format |

Some of the ladies and couples here aren't exactly Shakespeare with their opening messages either.
I've gotten a few 'Hi', and 'How are you?' from ladies and couples. Then when I read their profile it states something along the lines of, "One word or one line messages won't work."
Puts me off straight away. I mean the arrogance . |
